This location is a one-of-a-kind gem in the U.P. A beautifully resorted lodge and hotel with a spectacular view of the lake. Also great amenities like a fire pit, games, kayaks, and a private beach- all for a great price. We will definitely be returning if we are ever back in the area.

Beautiful setting, with a gorgeous view of the lake and so close you could throw a rock to water. However, the grounds could use better upkeep, the lawn and landscaping was quite overgrown. Our room #3 was quite clean, but rough around the edges. The value we got booking through ******* was great less than $100 with fees and tax. We would stay at the historic Birch Lodge again in the future.

Really nice lodge in the middle of nowhere. Nicely modernized while keeping the historic feel. Big, comfortable bed. Big shower. Road and parking area are dirt. Mosquitos can be bad.

Property is lovely with nice touches like tea , coffee and fresh fruits available . This place is charming and it is located in nice neighborhood, close to lake and park

Lovely updated historic property. Beautifully decorated. Owners were very friendly. Definitely want to visit again.

Jim was wonderful to work with, check in was a breeze, beds were comfortable, shower had great water pressure and hot water to last 3 women washing their hair. I never even needed to ask for extra towels, pillows, or blankets, the room was so well stocked. Would absolutely stay there again!

Place is very nice and secluded. Owner was kind. Really breath taking when you walk in and see it in person.

The road to the motel was full of pot holes. The blankets on bed were not very warm. I was only there overnight and had no interaction with staff

We really enjoyed our stay at Birch Lodge! Owners were very helpful, and they provide outside activities. The room was clean and neat with a beautiful lake view. My only complaint was the bathroom light switch was outside the bathroom door.
