This is a decent motel for visiting Bryce. It’s comparable to other places we’ve stayed in the area, which is to say ‘basic’. But when you’re hiking in a park all day and enjoying the beautiful wilderness, you aren’t really expecting the Ritz. You just need a place to clean up and sleep. The location was good. It was convenient to Bryce and there’s a great coffee shop a block away (I’d also recommend eating at the Stone Hearth Grille-Excellent!). The beds were comfortable. Wifi good when you needed it, but our room was a bit dirty and in need of an update. All in all, pretty good for our needs.

Not happy with lack of restaurant choices in the Tropic area. TV did not work. Woman at the desk came to our room twice to fix it. Even then the remote still did not work.

There was no hot water! Not even warm! Could not take shower! Not only our room, there were at least 2 other rooms were without hot water! Well, other than the water, it was ok.

Overall, I thought this place was good for what we needed. We arrived late into the evening, and the staff had taped an envelope with my name on it with our key cards. I did feel a little nervous at night and ended up putting something against the door just as an extra safety precaution, but I’m not sure my concern was necessarily warranted. The door just didn’t have an additional door locks like most hotels I’m used to.

A little disappointed in the room/facility (very dated) and the minimal breakfast. Bed was comfortable.

A very strange thing happend when my door key card stopped working. Instead of trying to re-key the key card, the person at the front desk handed me a master key to all of the rooms to use for the remainder of the 3 days that I was there. I tried twice to decline having the master key to other people's rooms and was worse than ignored. Truly strange.
