The hotel is situated on the busy A38 but is not affected by traffic noise. All the staff are polite and considerate and go the extra mile to provide good service The food is outstanding ; beautifully presented and prepared. And it tastes great too!
Good bar too which is imp because there’s little else to find a drink in the village.
Ideal for short or longer stays if you have a car. Taunton is clos for good shopping and the Somerset levels a dozen miles away.
I’d stay there again anytime.

Good sized rooms with plenty of space. Good at coping with my dietary requirements and friendly staff.
I didn't like the lack of hair dryers.

I travel regularly for work and I have never stayed in a room so meticulously clean. Every corner was spotless. The suite was spacious and comfortable. Staff were exceedingly polite and the breakfast spot on.

This is our second stay at the Walnut Tree and will do so again.
This may not be the most modern hotel you can find but offers things that many hotels do not give.
Rooms are huge and comfortable.
Staff are wonderful.
Food is lovely.
Served breakfast.
Pub appeal.
Note that this hotel is not in Bridgewater but in a village close by.
Ideal for M5 connections with a wonderful historic Minster Church across the road.

Our stay co-incided with a Chris**as Market which was excellent and an added bonus for us. The staff at this hotel are amazing, nothing is too much trouble and they go above and beyond. Food is excellent. Hotel rooms do need a refurb and we couldnt fault the cleanliness. Bed wasnt very comfortable. However we would definitely stay again.

2nd time I have stayed here, easy access, goid parking, excellent room fully equipped. Good bathroom and heating. Nice resteraunt and bar. Friendly staff. Good value.
