Nice, old hotel with gigantic rooms. Continental breakfast included and it was very basic but then it was included. Staff was very friendly. Very cool building. Great architecture with an interesting history. We’ll stay there again. I mean, how often do you get to stay in a “castle” with giant rooms and pay just a little bit more than a “regular” hotel?

This is our 3rd time staying at the castle. From the moment we stepped out of our car the staff was amazing from the valet to the front desk. We let the valet know we had dinner reservations so he parked our car in the circle to make it easier to leave. Check in was quick and easy. The room smelled really good and was very clean. We felt very comfortable and at home. It was nice and quiet. We had a nice relaxing time. They did have a light continental breakfast. We will be back.

The property itself is awesome: great view of the Hudson River from the grounds, and even from our room. However, the upkeep is quite poor. The common areas ie floors, doors, windows look dirty. The brass handles on the luggage carts, brass fixtures on doors all need to be cleaned and polished. The check-in area is dark, and the staff behind the counter lacked customer service. The bedroom itself was large and spacious, with a nice view of the Hudson River. The sheets were fresh. However, the floors needed vacuuming. The TV console, desk, night stands needed some dusting. There was no bath soap or liquid soap dispenser in the sinks so I had to use shampoo which is in very small container. The tub didn't drain well; it flooded while I was taking a shower. The breakfast was basically packaged pastries, muffins and some bagels. The hotel has a lot of potential but the upkeep was lacking

It is a beautiful property outside and in the main areas, i.e, the exterior of the building, the lobby. It was easy to find and conveniently located. The rooms themselves are spacious, but very worn. I've stayed in hotels were the furnishings are older, but still charming in a retro kind of way. That's not the case at the castle. The hallways, rooms, furnishings, carpeting -- it's all in need of a refresh. I'm very glad we got a special price because it was Monday night. I would not have been happy if we had paid full price. The gentleman who checked us in (bless his heart) was trying his best, but didn't know what he was doing.

The property is gorgeous and it was clean however we were so disappointed at the breakfast. It was only two kinds of bagels and pineapple. We were not expecting a full service but at least a good continental one since it was included.

The room was huge and so comfortable. Everything was very clean. The only downside was my lack of sleep - the fan would kick off and make a terrible, squeaking noise at least every hour so this kept me up throughout the night.

We loved this place. It’s a really cool Property. Fun to explore and great for photos. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and luxurious. We would totally go back again.

It was in a beautiful location and it was clean and quiet but staff could not help with guest needs because they couldn’t leave the area one minute but then weren’t there the next. No one ever answered there phone it was inconvenient.

Everything about our stay was excellent. This is a truly unique hotel. The grounds are lovely and the historic building has been renovated. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I was disappointed the spa and bar were closed. Kudos to Vincent who helped me find a location on the premises to enjoy my evening cigar.

Beautiful place, interesting building. Room was huge, clean, bed was comfortable. TV was very difficult to operate, streaming equipment did not work.

Looks like a nice place, while off season, place not what expected for a higher star hotel. Slightly disappointed. Plus was room size!!

Beautiful hotel.. can’t wait to come in the summer for the pool and looking forward for the spa and restaurant to reopen

Everyone was very pleasant and welcoming. Natalie at Check-In was wonderful. Can't wait to stay again!
