萬豪錫拉丘茲市中心飯店(Marriott Syracuse Downtown)

I arrived late and although the hotel stated they had valet parking, we were left to find our own parking. We were not encouraged to park in the hotels parking area due to homelessness surrounding the area. We were tired after a very long drive and the search for parking added to a stressful day. The hotel posted that masks were required and yet when we walked in almost none of the guests were wearing masks. Our suite was nice but there were no indications that it was COVID clean, other Marriott hotels we have stayed at since Covid have made you feel safe. When I checked out the next Fay, the woman at the front never even bothered to ask me about my stay or say something that would make me want to return. That is why I give them a 3. I’m in Syracuse often but I would rather stay somewhere else that might be a tad less lavished but better customer service.

This is a ghost hotel - probably appeal to those who love abandoned buildings. The decor and fixtures haven’t been updated since the 1960’s which was probably nice back in the day. Carpet smelled. Had very weird doors like from a submarine or something. The guy who checked us in (Kevin) appeared to be quite high and couldn’t barely open his eyes. Virtually no guests. Only place to eat nearby was an Irish pub which is itself nice. Quite a creepy hotel - but suitable for those into that sort of thing.

We had an issue with our debit card, we had cash but they wouldnt accept cash, after surpriding ys with an extra added $75 charge thst we weren't informed about. The hotel would not accommodate us, nor refund us the money paid for our room. We paid for a hotel room for nothing, and had to drive over an hour back home.

Front Desk staff was super helpful! There was an issue with my reservation, however. They “upgraded” me to the room I paid for and I had to mention the M club access I also paid for. Did not realize I would also be charged a $75 incidental fee on top of my reservation. This should be listed SOMEWHERE on ******* and on the Marriott website/app.
