We have stayed st this hotel many times but the last 2 visits have not been as good as in previous years. The main difference is that the resturant is not open so breakfast has to be taken at a sister hotel which is a short walk away. The breakfast was very poor - coffee machine not working one day, juice dispenser not working (though on 2nd visit it was but the contents were awful). The ”hot” good was lukewaarm and on the last dsy no jam ir honey. On the other hand the room was clean and comfortable and the staff were really heloful. The hotel is in a good location close to the railway and bus stations and all of Sofia is within walking distance.
We had a nice stay. Upgraded to business room. Breakfast buffet was large and good. A super big indoor pool with sauna and spa. Location is quite good. Near central station and about 20min walk to city center. Reception staff was very friendly and helpful. Good value for money.
I stayed here on two separate nights on either end of a 5 day trip to Varna. I chose the BW as it is right next to the train station. It is perfect for anyone looking to stay close to the trains. The airport is only a 25 min ride away on the subway. There are dining options and grocery stores close by. One weird thing happened when i stayed though, and this was why i gave 3 stars. When i arrived, i went right to bed as i had been traveling for about 15 hours. I was awoken to a staff member entering my room to fix a light. No warning, no time to put clothes on.... just came in. I was so tired i just let do his thing, but any other person may have been very disturbed by this. I could have been in the shower, or otherwise indisposed. Anyways, other than that, the stay was good.
hat is one kind of experience that I would like to forget soon... It all started with a mess up of my booking for a business trip in Sofia. So, I ended by staying the Grand Millennium which is not usually my choice. Hotel is somewhat close to centre but still not that close to allow walks for my business meetings. Check in was fairly smooth but now after reading some of the 1 star reviews, I can confirm that the receptionist's welcome could have been better. Being first time visitor, there was no information about breakfast (though included in the rate), gym, etc. I was given a premier room. The room was nice, very spacious, high quality amenities, floor to ceiling windows with nice views over the city and all looked clean. So I happily parked myself on the sofa and started working on my emails (good wifi). After some time, I caught some movement on the floor with the corner of my eye...and the fun started....initially I thought it was a kitten, then I panicked as it resembled to a rat until finally my brain processed the image of the bulgy eyes and wings and realised I was looking at a bat who was probably as confused as I was. I called the reception immediately and yes they did send help. A brave lady whom I like to thank as she was not scared and assured me she will not kill the bat but call the environment protection association. I asked to be moved to another room preferably to a lower flower :). They moved me from 21 to 20 as hotel was fully booked. I asked for the house keeping to come and have an extra look for my peace of mind. They sent another nice lady who was trying to assure me no bat family is hidden in the curtains, under the bed, etc. But the whole thing ruined my experience and spent my night with the lights on trying to figure out if bats can hide in the fake ceiling, if they can accidentally fall on your face while you are sleeping, if they sat on a pillow do they leave any marks, or if they are indeed to be blamed for covid. I am a frequent traveller and I recently returned from Mauritius where nature and wildlife are quite dominant, so how in the world you can find a bat in an urban jungle five star hotel room ?!?!?!?!?
I missed my flight at sofia airport so had to book a hotel for one night. So I went for a mid range hotel. It was better than mid range. Lovely helpful staff on reception, an aceptable price with thier discount....paid 68 euros for a large kingsize bed with onsuite bathroom. Comfortable bed, fresh pillows (very snazzy cushions too) and a nice relaxing corner sofa, reasonable TV and every thing was realyl clean. Complimentary coffee and tea, which is not the norm in Bulgaria, nice and quiet, was lovely and warm. Actualyl a bit too warm and I couldnt turn the heating down so I had to sleep wit hte fridge open to cool off as aircon didnt work. THis was the only negative for me. They did an airport pickup, but not a drop off and this nearly stopped me booking, as they should have told me this at the begining, however they were saved by the fact the metro was 4 stops to the airport and cost me 1.60 leva, so about 70p. I picked up food from the little shops in the metro, as I hit a holiday so the restaurants close by were closed. A very lovely stay and Id go there again. AND they had these lovely drop lights near the bed as side lights, some veyr nice touches, clean crisp sheets, soft towels and nice soaps etc and they dont ask you to leave till 12 lunch time. My photo doesnt do the room justice
Our recent stay at Crowne Plaza Sofia was brilliant, thrilled to have stayed at this very impressive state-of-the-art, upscale hotel. Arriving into a stunning, airy, and free-flowing reception. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and spoke excellent English. Checked in by the shift leader he was extremely efficient, informative and professional. Allocated a King premium Lake view room, which was stylish, spacious, clean, well designed, and great to have an openable window. Received a box of Lindt chocolates and some Bulgarian natural honey as a welcome gift this was a charming gesture. Enjoyed a blissful nights sleep such a comfy bed with premium linen. A long work desk with chair, perfect lighting, mirrors and power outlets, also a very comfortable and relaxing chaise lounge. Opulent bathroom with separate bathtub and walk-in rainfall shower, cool and modern tilling, fabulous huge bathroom heated mirror with LED light, super soft towels and premium Apotheke Canvas toiletries. Plentiful room amenities, espresso machine and kettle, good minibar, complimentary mineral and sparkling water, plush bathrobes and slippers and an iron with ironing board. Exceptional spa facilities, lovely large indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room, quality hot tub, but shame it was broken during our stay. Plenty of pool side loungers making a perfect spot to unwind in. The changing rooms were immaculately clean, well organised and contained more Apotheke toiletries. A disappointment was the club lounge, in terms of location it is isolated, and uninviting. Did not like visiting the club room, especially as I had to gate crash a wedding to gain access!! A windowless room although aesthetically pleasing certainly not a relaxing idyllic retreat, a bit claustrophobic. Our experience of the club lounge was unsatisfactory, as a discerning traveller I feel the location is wrong and felt a total a detachment from the hotels excellent atmosphere. Hoping this can be improved for a more enjoyable experience, I noticed the hotel has many flexible work spaces which would superbly host a club lounge, currently positioned along a corridor passing by meeting / conference / and ball rooms. I thought the offerings in the lounge were inadequate compared with other Crowne Plazas, throughout the day soft drinks, tea and coffee, and well presented fruit was available, but a some crisps and homemade biscuits would have of been nice. Poor drinks and canapés in the evening but nice light breakfast in the morning, pretty average facility not worth the extra. Excellent breakfast served in A PRIORI restaurant it offered a wide selection of food, really nice, fresh and tasty. Sleek stylish water dispenser with sparkling and still options, tasty coffee, divine croissants and the omelettes are amazing. Staff are fabulous could not be more helpful and friendly. You definitely must try their breakfast. This hotel has the Wow factor, the interior design is visually appealing and guest spaces

KKonstantin AlekseevClean, perfect location, free parking. The beds are a bit hard and it would be better of you guys check whether the bottles of water in the rooms are full; mines were empty.
The hotel is just a few steps from the “European Union” metro station just south of the center of Sofia. The hotel and neighborhood are both quiet, safe and conveniently located to what I must say is Sofia’s excellent Metro system (you can get almost anywhere in no time for very cheap)! I got to the airport from here in about 35 minutes (not rush hour). The bathrooms are newly refurbished and the rooms are quite large. The decoration is a bit dated (in an older Bulgarian style), but the furniture and king-sized bed were quite comfortable. They allow smoking in the building (so if this is a deal-breaker, go somewhere else). I, for one, am not bothered by it, so I found the hotel quaint and appropriate for my stay. The staff was polite and very helpful. Their English was quite good. For approximately $70, you cannot pass this hotel up.
JJerzy8Typowy 4* hotel. Niedaleko piechotą do centrum ok. 15 minut. Pokoje ciasne. Można otwierać okna. Czysto. Codziennie sprzątane. Beznadziejne śniadania. Wręcz lodowata jajecznica i jajka sadzone. Fatalna kawa z dodatkiem mleka w proszku.
