Ett mycket varmt välkomnande i ett ganska nyrenoverat B&B. Den bästa vistelsen hittills på vår resa genom England. Mycket inbjudande och rent. Sköna sängar. Lugnt område, men nära till centrum.

Excellent stay, already recommended to family and friends. Should consider competing on four in a bed.

Lovely bed and breakfast located in a quiet area near South Cliff c15 minutes walk into town. Stayed in a quirky single room that did not have an en suite but a dedicated bathroom down a small flight of stairs - this I was made aware of when booking and it was spoken about again on check in. The room itself was well organised with a sink, smart TV tea/coffee, biscuits etc. spotlessly clean. Breakfast was spot on, plentiful, really good ingredients. Parked outside the property using a permit provided by the owner. The only thing stopping me putting 5 stars as the overall grading is the bathroom for room 4. It is an inconvenience no pun intended. Finally, the owners are super welcoming both on the phone and face to face. Will 100% book again but in an en suite room.

Just had brilliant weekend at the waves first time we've stayed but will be a firm favourite from now on. Emma is the most welcoming host we've ever come across nothing is too much trouble she's an angel. The hotel is spotless clean and rooms are beautiful with everything you need and more. The breakfast is absolutely gorgeous cooked by Chris definitely the best ever thanks for a lovely weekend see you soon.

Fabulous stay. We were in Room 3, a very well appointed and spacious room. Emma and Chris have thought of everything, and offer a very personal service. They facilitated an early check in on request as stated, provided an on street parking permit [quite back street so no qualms about leaving the car], and breakfast is self what you'd like and it'll be cooked for you at your preferred time. The Yorkshire breakfast is local quality products and fills the plate. Very comfortable guest lounge we didn't use as we were otherwise engaged but did look inviting and a great space to chill with a bottle of wine and a good book on another night. We'll be back I am sure as and when Scarborough draws us to her again.

Really friendly hosts who gave good guidance on entertainment in the area. Parking outside available (permit given) and a great nights sleep! Also a lovely breakfast to get the day started. Will definitely book her again in the Summer months

From arrival to departure Emma & Chris were the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble. Our room was very clean and has lots of extras like a free standing bath and a walk in shower with massage jets. Smart TV in room with Netflix, Disney + etc so you can sign in to these apps and enjoy with a nice glass of wine after a long day walking about. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and all dietary requirements catered for like vegetarian or vegan (not that we are one) but Ann says special thanks for the fried bread Chris lol. Hotel is located in a quiet area of Scarborough with a short walk into the town centre or a 3 stop bus ride. Our train was cancelled going home due to train strikes so we had to change our travel plans. Emma called a taxi for us to get to the station quicker so we could get an alternative train. We will return and thanks for everything. Highly recommended. David & Ann

We've just spent two nights at The Waves and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. From the moment we arrived Phil greeted us with a very warm welcome and immediately issued us with a free car park pass, before giving us a wealth of information on the resort and places to visit. He also very kindly took our cases to our room for us as we would have struggled a bit to the second floor....very much appreciated! The room was everything we expected from reading past reviews, spacious, exceptionally clean, very comfortable bed, amazing shower, and plenty of tea, coffee, and biscuits, which Chris was more than happy to replenish. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice and Chris made sure you had everything you wanted, the home made bread was really good. Chris and Phil are such wonderful hosts, so helpful and nice and nothing was too much trouble to make our stay memorable. We will definitely return when next visiting the area and would have no hesitation whatsoever in highly recommending this establishment to everyone.
