Notre chambre était tout simplement magnifique ! Nous n’avons pas l’habitude des hostels, alors nous recherchons plutôt la tranquillité et nous avons pu avoir le meilleur des deux mondes à cet endroit. Les soupers de type familial sont délicieux et permettent de rencontrer de nouvelles personnes et d’avoir de belles discussions. Il y a des activités prévus tous les soirs ce qui est super! Possibilité de plusieurs activités dans le jour aussi (plongée, yoga, training, sauna, etc.). C’est donc un endroit super dynamique, mais permettant aussi d’être au calme en observant la vue simplement. Tous les gens étaient super gentils et accueillants. Nous avons bien aimés notre séjour!

Magical place. Wonderful staff, unique rooms, a hidden gem. Beautiful views of the lake, plenty of watercraft to use, delicious food. It's a hotel we won't soon forget, and we've been to many unique spots around the world. Just not for those with mobility issues!

This little hotel gets a lot of press and good recommendations, so I have to admit I was a bit skeptical. However, our three-night stay really lived up to expectations. The property is breathtaking and the grounds are immaculate. There are only a few rooms, so your stay will always feel private and intimate. The staff is happy to help with anything you need and answer all questions. Seriously, special shoutout to Gloria, Regina, and Oscar - best front desk interactions I've ever had. The efforts of these three (and the rest of the staff, of course) made our stay absolutely wonderful and I hope that they're recognized for all the hard work they do answering questions, solving problems, and making tourists feel at home. The only criticism I have is with the dinner menus. Most of the food was fine, but the options were very European. I would have loved to see some Guatemalan food on the menu - things like pepián, jocon, hilachas, etc. That being said, the best food we had was the special Thanksgiving dinner, which was an unexpected bonus and very good! One important piece of context I'll offer to readers: Keep in mind this is a lakefront hotel with no road access in Guatemala. There will be things it doesn't have. There will be times you have to wait for something, or maybe you run out of hot water, or maybe the wifi goes out for five minutes. Your roof is a palapa-style palm roof. There are bugs. You will be exposed to nature, including in your (fully enclosed and amazing) bathroom. There are dogs. If you want to go anywhere else, you need to take a boat. If you take a public boat, you need to flag them down. In general, it helps to speak at least a little bit of the language of the country you visit. This is all part of the experience and if that doesn't sound appealing to you, you should look elsewhere and that's ok!

Bruyant le soir.. vérifiez bien votre note...des plats ou boissons en plus...on vous note tout....avec des erreurs...et en carte 4 % en.plus ...même si vous payez une partie en cash . Déçus de cette expérience...point positif la vue..mais on est loin du village et des locaux....on pourrait être n importe ou....et les serveurs ne parlent pas espagnols...refuge anglo saxon

Tuvimos una experiencia maravillosa con mi novia en este mágico lugar. Es uno de los pocos lugares que en la realidad se ven aún mejor que las fotos. Desayunos increíbles, comida buenísimo en todo sentido. Su BloodyMary es algo genial. Nos morimos de ganas por volver!

Increíble experiencia hemos vivido en este hotel mi esposo y yo. Celebrabamos nuestro aniversario y el stuff fue muy amable y me ayudó a sorprender a mi esposo. Nunca olvidaremos la maravillosa estancia que tuvimos en el hotel La Fortuna.

This hotel is *magical* and quickly became one of my all-time favorite destinations. There are so many thoughtful touches everywhere you turn. The owners have obviously put a lot of thought and love into every aspect of the facilities. The staff members were ACES ALL AROUND (as were both the food and the craft cocktails). I was there on my own and it was a blissfully peaceful respite, but I knew as soon as I got there that I will go back with my husband at the first available opportunity. I. Loved. This. Place.
