It was a good visit for a night stay

After a 6 hour trip I ask about early check in since I was told that check in was at 3:00 pm. I arrived at 2:15. I was shocked that check in was now 4:00 and was told an early check in fee was $85.00 wow! For a hour and 45 minutes! No way! I had to change clothes in a public restroom to be at event at 3:00pm. The management was not flexible. The room was nice but the air conditioning never cool below 74 degrees. Was rather hot for sleeping.

We arrived 2 hours prior to the 4pm check in time. They claimed they had some rooms available for early check in but that would cost extra. I said I would just wait and grab a bite to eat. I arrived back at the hotel at 4pm and of course the room wasn't ready. The room wasn't ready until almost 5pm! We were going to a concert and that made us way later than when we wanted to get there. Couldn't get an uber to the show because of the traffic and ended up having to drive. Got into the show 10 minutes before it started luckily. There was an old and musty feeling in rooms. Won't be staying at this hotel again.

I wish I could give this hotel 5 stars all around as we've stayed there before and always enjoyed our time there. However, we had this be our daughters block hotel for her wedding and 72 hours before the guests were to arrive they began canceling rooms. Not really sure of the reason, construction, busted pipe; we got several answers. For us, our stay was great. They are a nice hotel. They are friendly upon check in and the rooms are great. When I asked about some sort of compensation for those that had their rooms canceled (free parking, uber reimbursement, etc.) I was told "no, we gave everyone 72 hours notice, that's all we are obligated to give". We had our shuttles to the wedding venue leave from there so our guests had to come to the Ameristar even tho they couldn't stay there. Overall, they are a great place to stay, I'd just be very leary if planning a wedding or for your wedding guests to stay there. They don't think twice about canceling rooms there - even rooms that are booked within a wedding block.

Check in has moved to 4. No early unless you pay $60. Pool even on a weekday makes you buy $11 beer and refuses to let you bring your own. Wont be back

Bathroom shower was filthy and stunk. Black mold present. All 4 electrical outlets in bathroom didn’t work! One of bathroom sinks didn’t drain. Broken chair at desk. Main tv was unplugged as were lamps. Room was very disappointing and definitely not prepared for guests!

This was once a 5 star hotel, which is now very lackluster. Stayed at this hotel multiple times before and never had any issues until this weekend. Checked in 3 hours after check in time and room that was originally reserved was not ready due to housekeeping call-offs and so we settled for a room that was ready instead, only because we were tired and hungry. The person at the desk who checked us in named Jason had a horrible attitude. Realized when we returned from dinner that none of the tvs worked and the sheets were dirty requested a room change but no other rooms were available so we requested a room clean and all they brought were sheets because they had no one to clean the room. The next day requested a room clean and tvs to be fixed. There was no stay over service on a $300 a night room and was told they could bring sheets. Ended up staying an extra day due to exhaustion and let housekeeping know that we needed trash bags to clean up the mess better. Was told by staff member not to worry about it that they would clean it only to be charged upon check out a $300 cleaning fee. When I called to inquire, I talked the manager Danielle,she has horrible customer service skills. I will take my chances at another hotel. 10/10 do not recommend ever again

Beautiful property, but the indoor pool and a few of the bars were not open. We were not told this until after check-in. Also, if you plan to utilize the spa, be sure to make reservations ahead of time because it books fast. This is one of the main reasons we stayed here and we weren't able to experience the spa.

Tried to check in at 6:30 pm. Absolutely no line at the desk. Was told neither room was ready. Was told no comps for inconvenience because I booked 3rd party. (I didn’t download their app to check in remotely) I’ll not go there again.
