Very nice environment, service and view, really enjoyed the 2 nights stay. My dog was very happy too, got a free sausage each morning

Spacious bright room with comfortable bed and ensuite bathroom. Concierge provided great local advice and breakfast was good and substantial. Convenient quiet location with a car.

First let me say, I know tye Rosslea Hall Hotel very well. I grew up in Rhu where its located. I used to party with the staff in their old accommodation. I have a soft spot in my heart for this place. However, As someone who now lives in Denmark, I've stayed back in the Rosslea a few times over the years while I visit my friends. The time before last 4 years ago, I had a double room with my wife and it was lovely. This time it was a solo trip and a single night stay, so I could have an evening with my friends in the pub and not worry about driving. Going up the stairs to my room, I noticed some carpet is fixed into the stairs with gaffa tape. My single room for a 4 star hotel was disgraceful. Dirty stains on the wall next to my bed, the door stop with its big screw was just lying on the floor. There was a big water stain on part of the wall where it met the ceiling. The ceiling is an artex ceiling and had at least a 40cm rip on part on the ceiling. Their was no toilet brush which was very inconvenient, the shower only worked if you put it on full power which then felt like standing in front of a fire hose. Breakfast was fine, but the menu card on my table was stained with egg/food on one side. Upon checking out I made them aware of my disappointment, to be told the hotel was soon to be renovated. But that simply isnt an ok excuse for a 4 star establishment. I have photos & hope ********** will compensate to some degree if I can find a way to contact customer service

Booked a Deluxe Room but was underwhelmed. Staff, however, are very friendly & welcoming. The restaurant & bar were nice but other areas are dated & in need of refurbishment.

Whoever it is that awards the star rating should visit the Rosslea Hall again. This in no way feels like a 4 star hotel. I stayed here some years ago and thought it quite luxurious but times have changed. The hotel felt like it had been run down. The room was ok but on closer inspection it could have done with a good clean. We found long black hairs sticking to the wall of the shower (we dont have black hair) 1 bath towel 1 hand towel. No toilet roll holder or hook on the door. You could see where they had been but they weren't there now. Just to add to the fun, during the night the toilet stopped flushing. Booked dinner for 8pm. Arrived at 8 prompt, ordered fish and chips which arrived at the table at 9.05. Incidentally it is the smallest menu i have ever seen in a hotel. Choice of 3 mains. Ditto breakfast. 45min wait. Considering they charge 4 star prices i could not say in any way it felt 4 star. Well overpriced. Wont be back. Nice location, but thats all.

Hotel is basic, not 4* and not worth £159 for b&b. Rust and mould in bathroom area. Wedding on in hotel. No space to park car. Had to park on verge outside the car parking area. Good breakfast, but when checking out, we were asked to pay for drinks from the bar. We had not been in the bar and at the time stated we were in bed. We were also challenged if we had actually paid for the room and only when I showed the receipt from ********** did they accept that it had been paid for. Upsetting end to our stay. Will be writing to Xu hotel group

Business trip. Arrived late, no drama. Adequate, convenient parking. Friendly welcoming reception staff, lovely clean, comfortable room. Thoroughly enjoyable breakfast, in spacious dining room, served up by efficient, attentive staff. Not my first time at Roselee Hall Hotel and will cirtainly be staying again soon.

I booked as a single person and was originally given a room (25) which on entering had a low level buzzing sound from a generator I did think it would be turned off at tfn however it wasn't and a member of staff helped me to change rooms to a quiet corner room (10) staff were all lovely and incredibly helpful food was excellent and really good value for money.i had a walk along the close by beach in the morning before leaving and I hope to return soon .I'd certainly book again when in the area
