This place has a nice view looking out on their mountain side. They also have two gas grills iwith bench table. I’m the same area they have a hot tub but that was not working at the time of our visit. Showers were small but useable

My stay here was great! Nicely situated just outside of town on the way to Mt Rushmore and the Black Hills area. My room was clean and quiet. Hot breakfast available every morning. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

Staff where very friendly and helpful , the property was clean and neat . Wonderful view of the surrounding country side !

Love this property- my favorite go-to I’m Rapid City. Great casual vibe, wonderful management, fantastic view of the city, perfect mental health and well-being getaway!

The hotel is very nice, small and perched on a hill right on the main road to mt. Rushmore. I was going to arrive very late, the manager called me to arrange for me to get my room key out of a key box. They were very thoughful.

Loved this sweet spot, fantastic view overlooking the city, wonderful service and accommodations. Looking forward to coming back soon!

To start, I had to call someone at 4:00 pm to check me in. I noticed that several signs indicated things like pet policy that is not on the website. The website needs to be updated with current information. When I got to my room, there was no deadbolt on the door and I could see daylight between the door and door frame. Didn't feel particularly comfortable or safe. I also requested no room service for my stay, but someone came in the second day and cleaned it anyway. Breakfast with the fried eggs on a plate under a piece of aluminum foil was not very appealing. The term lodge in the name is very misleading. Its just an old motel, not a lodge. I will not be staying here again as the price is way too high for the quality of the facility.

Very nice, clean, reasonably priced hotel. The manager is very nice and helpful. The " continental" breakfast was more than expected...had boiled or fried eggs, waffles and all the other usual stuff The rooms are quiet and in quiet location with beautiful view of Rapid City skyline. Picnic tables and benches to sit outside. Fridge and microwave in room. No pool, restaurant or bar if you need those frills. I would stay again.

Check in staff was friendly and helpful. TV didn't work in room but was too tired to ask someone to fix it. Room was clean and comfortable.
