Hyatt House Johannesburg Rosebank

The room is new and very, very small. They decided a guest doesn’t need space around the sink for toiletries, and the shower gel they provide is absolutely awful, I had to go to the shops and get a shower gel. Wi-fi was terrible. Upon checking in I was assured there would be vegan options for breakfast, i specifically asked for bread with vegan butter, nothing out of the ordinary. When we arrived at the restaurant, the chef didn’t know the difference between gluten free and vegan. They said the only thing they could offer was a frittata. I then asked what they would add instead of eggs and they said they would add nothing, just vegetables. The restaurant is halal, so there is no bar downstairs. If you want a drink you need to go to the outside rooftop pool, tough luck if it is raining.

I have stayed at both the Hyatt House in Rosebank and Sandton. The Sandton experience was far better. Rosebank staff were friendly, the location was good and the hotel is clean and new. However I felt that the areas below were a problem for me: 1. Hotel was very noisy 2. I walked into my room to find another guest in my room 3. Room was not ready at check in time 4. I requested a hairdryer which never came 5. Breakfast options were lackluster and they ran out of fruits 6. There is only one lift for 80 guest rooms and staff and you wait forever to get out the hotel.

Terrible place! The room is small and there are no windows in the main hall. There is a constant noise that really bothers (I believe it comes from the central air conditioning). The room has 3 TVs (yes, 3 TVs for a 56-square meter room!) that automatically turn on at 6:30 am, waking your up. The rooms are not dark enough, so it is hard to continue to sleep after the TV wakes you up in the morning. The food at the restaurant is so-so, but they do not sell any kind of alcohol due to an incredible halal policy, so it is impossible to drink a beer while having a burger. Finally, the swimming pool os tiny, just enough for 1-2 persons. In a nutshell, it is far from reaching the Hyatt standards and do not match the pictures that they show in the website.

Otelin konumu çok iyi, rosebank mall a çok yakın. Odaları büyük ve temiz. Personel güler yüzlü ve yardımsever. Tekrar konaklamayı düşünüyorum. Herkese tavsiye ederim.

Booked into the Hyatt House Rosebank with my mother for Chris**as and having stayed at a number of Hyatt Regency’s I was let down by this place. The place was not well thought out. The dinning area is too small or the number of people who were at the hotel. Moving around between tables is very tight, even with a busy hotel over Chris**as they seemed to have allowed outside bookings which just made it worse for the hotel guests. The service in the restaurant left a lot to be desired, very slow and in some instances very unprofessional specially from one male staff member who lacked manners. I thought he did it to just us but I witnessed him behave the same way to other families as well. On our arrival there was issue with the wifi which was not communicated to us at check in, when booking I specifically asked for a room higher up and was informed everything was noted. Upon arrival we were put on the first floor with a room that had only 1 side table. We requested to be moved and we were moved to the 4th floor, we were “moved” by a security guard who seemed like he didn’t even want to be there. No assistance with our bags and barely greeted (the staff needs customer care training). Got to a room that was just too tight with the vanity table placed at an awkward angle. We were moved from a room with a balcony (which is what I selected when booking) to a room without a balcony so that was sad. I really wouldn’t return or recommend this place. I am very disappointed.

Soggiorno estremamente confortevole. L'albergo è piuttosto bello, ben tenuto, con una terrazza con piscina all'ultimo piano. Il personale oltre che gentile, riesce ad accogliere le piccole richieste. Inoltre si può camminare (con la luce del giorno) fino al centro commerciale di Rosebank ma l'albergo si trova su una strada silenziosa che permette di dormire meglio la notte.

Bel hôtel bien situé dans le quartier chic de Rosebank. Nous avons pu bénéficier d'un surclassement et avons séjourné dans une magnifique suite. Personnel très aimable et attentif, excellent buffet petit déjeuner. Le centre commercial est à 200 mètres, de même que la gare du Gautrain. A recommander.

Très bonne expérience, le personnel est très accueillant, chambre propre et le petit déjeuner est excellent je vois le recommande. À quelques pas du Rosebank mail pour profiter des restos et magasiner. Un quartier sécuritaire pour se promener.
