Great hotel. Has everything going for it. Breakfast good choice. Room good size . All amenities. House staff lovely and helpful. Restaurant excellent, worthwhile booking to ensure a seat. Spa and indoor pool very relaxing.

Estive hospedado nesta unidade hoteleira uma noite. Considero que seja mesmo para esse efeito, uma ou máximo duas noites. Staff simpático, entrada e zona de refeições limpas e acolhedoras. Os quartos deixam um pouco a desejar, pequenos mas modernos, o wc esse peca em demasia, sem circulação de ar e muito muito pequeno. Mas como disse, para uma noite serve. A insonorização peca também muito, ouve-se muito os outros hóspedes e os carros a passarem. O pequeno almoço gostei, muita variedade e sempre preocupados com a reposição dos produtos. De forma geral considero viável para pequenas estadias.

I’ll start with the positive. It’s a lovely property, well-maintained and beautifully decorated. The off- season price was good, and the location excellent. Sadly, that’s where the positive stops. Despite its beauty, it’s really a three star hotel at best. I booked a superior double. It was Toney, even by European standards. There are no drawers and the closet was 35 cm wide with no shelves. We couldn’t unpack and there was barely room to have our luggage in the room. We came back to an unserviced room and when I questioned it, was told we had to put out the card for cleaning! The front desk staff are frequently absent. When I lost my card key - my fault, I know - the receptionist told me I should be more careful and had to call someone to find out how to make another. They locked the doors at 10 on NYE and took some time to let us in at 10:30. They told us the bar was closed, but let another couple into the staff door and I saw them having drinks on the patio shortly after. I can’t recommend this place.

We had a lovely room and were right in the middle of the lively river scene. Good buffet breakfast and all the staff were very helpful. Many small restaurants in the vicinity too. Not too far from Sao Bento station though uphill. We didn’t cook in the apartment as there too few implements but didn’t plan to do that anyway.
