Very comfortable and staff are excellent. Pizza is absolutely fabulous!!!

The staffs at check in, check out and at breakfast were all great. A noticeable improvement from my last visit. Kudos to those who checked me in as they were very friendly and professional. I have been staying at this hotel for the past 40 years accompanied first by my father in my early years. During this stay and a prior one, I was interrogated by the same Security guard who felt I was not a paying guest even though I showed him my room key card as he insisted I go to the Front desk for verification. I would have loved to provide a higher rating, but the embarrassing humiliating experience with the Security Guard was most disappointing.

Todas las habitaciones de la parte atrás del hotel les entre un ruido terrible las 24 horas que proviene de unos enfriadores con unas turbinas gigantes que tiene el hotel en la parte de atrás. Les pedí un cambio de habitación y no quisieron. Tuve que llamar a ******* para obligarlos a cambiar el cuarto. NO RECOMENDADO

My first morning , there was no hot water from 7 am until after 9 when someone came to check on it. I left for breakfast which is supposed to end at 9:30 . I arrived at 9:10 and they were packing up the buffet. I had to grab what I could. They switched me to another room that night. On entry to new room there was an overwhelming mold smell which I am highly allergic to. I told the staff about it immediately, she said that was the only room they had now and they would call me once another switch was approved by the absent supervisor. I really wanted a hot shower since I couldn’t have one that morning. It was late so I stayed the night and made official complaint the next morning. There was no supervisor available to make any changes so I had to wait until the following morning to complain at the desk again. This went on until my last night when they finally transferred me to another room. My last night in that room was the best nights rest with working utilities etc. it’s unfortunate I wasn’t transferred into this room or one like it from the first morning I had the problem with the hot water, instead of putting me in a mold ridden room which got me sick and afforded me no rest through the nights as a result. I would never stay at Kapok again. I really had high expectations for this establishment.

Impressed by the friendly and attentive staff, have not seen that anywhere else in TT before. Well done to the staff and management of Kapok.

Stayed here 10 years ago and it was clear that they did not one renovation or update since then. The room had an odd odor and the bathroom had a lot of hard water stains. The staff was really great but the facility itself needs improvement.

I arrived from a full day of traveling, after a two-hour delay at the airport. It was after midnight and I was tired and ready to rest. The room was freezing and the bathroom sink clogged after I washed my hands and face. The water in the shower remained cool until the next morning. I awakened to wet floors by the air conditioner and the scent of mold in the cold air. I called to have a manager come up and see the condition of the room. The person who came up was filling in for the manager, who was on vacation. He was the consummate professional. He apologized and upgraded my room for the inconvenience. He had the technician check the air conditioner, clean up the water on the floor and unclog the sink, while I waited for the new room to be prepared. I was satisfied with the new room; there was no moldy smell and everything was clean. The television in the bedroom did not work, but I did not ask them to fix it since I had not plans to watch it. The hotel rooms are in need of upgrading and updating, including the air conditioning system. The staff is exemplary and the food is quite good. I would not stay there again unless they handle the mold/mildew problem and modernize the spaces where guests spend the most down time--the rooms.
