凱爾班克旅館(The Kellbank)

After climbing the scafell pike, we went straight to this hotel. The staffs were really kind especially to the old man. You can really see the passion in his work . The hotel was amazing because it’s clean and well maintained. They also have a restaurant so you don’t have to go outside to look for a food which is really inconvenient idea for those who are tired from climbing. I guess we tried to book for an uber eats, deliveroo etc but they don’t have it in that area. The food was great and they have a free breakfast as well.

We stayed at the Kellbank for 4 nights. Rooms were lovely and clean and we slept well in the comfortable beds. The cooked breakfasts were amazing. We had dinner on 2 occasions which were also lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Not far to Scafell Pike which we climbed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Really good as usual, especially if you have a Tesla or EV. 3 chargers. Foods very good, accommodation is very decent. Bar food starts at 5pm and finishes circa 9pm. If want drinks later bar will accommodate like any good hotel. Very close to fells and decent walks, although l stayed for work.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over a long period - I have known many owners and managers but can honestly say that the current team are the best I have known. Great food, friendly staff, some real characters amongst the regulars. Comfy, practical rooms with reliable wi-fi and if you are lucky enough to get one of the pods the views are amazing on a clear day (unfortunately the weather isn't as predicable as the warm welcome!)

Good location from Scaffel pike, good scenery from our room could see the tip of Scaffel on a clear sky. Has own car park, good food from the restaurant and they have very accommodating staff....Also, they a good size and clean rooms and plenty of cupboards and charging outlets USB/plugs. I would come again and would recommend to anyone who wants to climb Scaffel pike....

Had a lovely stay at the kellbank, room was lovely and clean, beds were very comfortable, food at breakfast was incredibly good, with lots of choice. All staff were really friendly and helpful. All in all I cannot fault the kellbank, it is a really nice place to stay.

Really enjoyable stay, very clean room, breakfast was great, friendly team, will stay again. Central to Gosforth. Great menu - food was lovely good size portions and lots of choice, friendly team and very helpful. Check out 11am but wasn't rushed to be out bang on 11.

Stayed in one of the cabins - compact but spotless, warm (in January!) and comfortable - only very slight problem was the heating control which is a tad over complicated but did not in any way detract from our stay....own transport essential...fantastic location...food great and a great, welcoming staff team.
