愛稱飯店(Salutation Hotel)

Cold, very cold.

Checked in at this property about half nine at night. There was loud banging around my room it felt like a wall was going to come down at one point it was awful this went on for the best part of four hours. I tried to reach the night manager on shift however there was no answer so I had to ask a relative to come collect me as it was that bad.

The hotel is very tired and our room was on the same floor as the restaurant. Between the smell of food and air freshener it smelt awful. Beds were ok but not premier inn quality that we really needed. Breakfast was average.

Poor poor poor. Worst stay we have had in a hotel. Hard where to start. Cant fault the staff we dealt with but the condition and standard of the hotel is the worst we have experienced. No soundproofing and every floor board in the hotel squeaks. You could hear anybody walking about and even better when the upstairs gets up a 6am and starts walking around the room and you can hear every step. Gods know what would have happened if noisy lovers had been here, whole hotel would have heard. Didn't sleep at all. Room was too hot and heating was't even on and no air conditioning. Toilet was the worst standard i have ever seen. Shower rail, soap dish, toilet roll holder and toilet handle all loose. So much for deep cleaning of rooms. The shower mat looked like the bottom of a wheely bin. Disgraceful Standard.

Single room but promised a twin bed. Reality was a single bed in a tiny room. No wifi detected as advertised. Staff disorganised at shift handover caused embarrassment due to a telephone call the next day over 'unpaid bar bill'. Bill was paid before leaving the bar area. Overall, this was a £30 room in my opinion.

An excellent hotel full of character and steeped in history. This is not your Hilton, but a great traditional hotel with excellent food. Breakfast also very good.

Clean, centrally located and comfy stay. Food was good and breakfast delicious. Would be happy to stay again - will be in the coming months!
