Wonderful overnight stay in our way to Scotland. Sue was such a warm and friendly host who would go out of her way to make your stay fantastic. We stayed in room 3 and the 4 poster bed was so comfortable. Would highly recommend and will definitely be staying again.

Excellent hotel, the owner Sue couldn’t have been more helpful, even helped fix a broken bike , place was spotless , couldn’t fault it in any way ,

A must stay! This isn't an ordinary guest house, it's very special. The house is pristine, with spacious and very thoughtful rooms. Robes, all the teas, dental kit, fridge, branded loo roll & more. These details exemplify the pride in this 5 star retreat (my star rating!). Sue is a wonderful, sociable host who dons a branded uniform for breakfast as once again, the pride shines through. We took the top floor & didn't mind the stairs as we sat on the sofa in our private sitting area with a huge TV. This is a dream place, a short walk from shops & eateries, one which is certainly a destination & not just a layover. Treat yourself, you won't be disappointed.

What a wonderful Guest House, first time in Penrith we stayed overnight and was overwhelmed by the room, amazing decor very tasteful and comfortable, spotless throughout. The host Sue made us feel very welcome and couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was superb we had a full English but there were cereal and fresh fruit too. Would highly recommend.

Sue was a lovely host she made us feel very welcome and nothing was to much trouble. The Guest house was lovely, clean and cosy and the breakfast was perfect. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend.

One of the nicest places I’ve had the pleasure of staying. The place screams charming character and you feel quite regal. Lots of quirky features. The rooms are all so lovely and have everything you could need plus more you don’t think you need. Sue is a brilliant host and will go over and above to make sure your stay is perfect. Great place can’t wait to visit again

A lovely place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of fresh fruit , nuts and Greek yoghurt, followed by a rage of cooked food. We were a group of four, and the suite of two spacious bedrooms in the top floor was perfect for us.

We had a lovely stay at the Brooklands over the weekend. Sue was a very welcoming host and prepared us a delicious breakfast and some lovely mince pies! The room was great and the bed very comfy, we honestly couldn’t fault the place and would return without hesitation. Thanks Sue :)

Due to sad circumstances we needed an overnight stay in Penrith. Sue was very welcoming and the accommodation and breakfast were excellent. The festive decorations provided a beautiful finishing touch. We will be returning early in the New Year.
