巴黎皮隆斯附近住宿

We stayed 4 nights in this quiet,lovely hotel. Excellent location for Gare de Lyon station, and close proximity to variety of restaurants. Our room was small, but clean, with very comfortable bed. We walked miles each day, so we appreciated the fitful sleep we had each night.(fyi- we used this hotel also as our home base to attend the Paris Saint Germain vs Olympic M****ille game while we were in Paris. It was an easy walk to Gare Austerlitz station to catch train to Parcs des Princes Stadium. Lots of restaurants within walking distance of the Parcs des Princes Stadium, approximately 10-15 min stroll depending upon how fast you walk. You'll notice lots of PSG fans in the neighbourhood of the Stadium prior to kick-off having a quick meal). The only minor criticism we had of Hotel Aurore was that we had asked that our safety deposit box in our room #403 be fixed (as the safety deposit box door was locked shut upon our arrival, and needed a technician to reopen it for our personal use) however, no one fixed the problem after we asked politely each morning of our 4 night stay. Therefore, we never had use of the safety deposit box. Disappointing, but otherwise we enjoyed our stay!

First things first, there effectively is no Lennon Hotel. There is no reception there and no breakfast room. Everything from the administration on is done through the Avalon Hotel next door so, make the assumption that you are going to the Avalon and you will not get lost or confused. The decor is both dated and modern at the same time. I would say, typically French so I am glad they didn't go all chain hotel and boring. The Bedroom - The choice of furniture I would question. In some pictures you can see what looks like a coat rack. This is the 'wardrobe' in the room. There are 6 hooks which may or may not have 6 hangers. Beneath that could well be a full size laptop safe (free to use) and under that, what I would have used as the shoe shelf. There really isn't anywhere for smaller items at all, they likely will stay in your luggage. With the lighting it's either bright or very bright so, there wasn't really an option to have it dimly lit though there are a selection of ceiling light, wall lamps and table lamps, they are all bright. Our room (100) was not a king size bed, I feel 4' 6” as it was certainly smaller than we are used to. In many pictures it shows the white bed pillows supplemented by small blue (green) ones. This is certainly not the case with every room. The Bathroom - I can but speak for our room as I understand other rooms have different configurations. We had a walk in shower with a rain shower head and a hand held spray adjusted using ornate handles. The toilet was on the wall. I personally don't like those, I feel incredibly unsafe especially when they creak like this one did when sat on. To make it worse, we're only 5' 3” and it's just too high, we felt like 5 year olds in need of a step stall. I wondered if this might not be aimed at wheelchair users as I am disabled but I do not use a chair but a mobility scooter (which there was plenty of room for). Then I consider the sink which is high up, too high for a wheelchair user. Of course, there is no chair in the shower either so, if it is meant to be an accessible room, it kind of isn't. The walls are done in tiles. Very mismatched tiles, not sure whether that was intentional or just years of different repairs and replacements. I feel that the light blue small square tiles were original but that when the shower, toilet and sink were last done they were not replicable so got replaced with blue rectangle tiles. The floor tiles are probably original but very worn and though they may have been, I never felt they were clean. Being a walk in shower the water got everywhere and the floor remained wet all night so we kept a towel on the floor by the door. Us British might find it weird to see a hairdryer in the bathroom right next to the sink, I think a plug socket too! The large round mirror was supposed to light up with a touch switch but, we never got it to work. I checked into this hotel on March 17th. On March 18th I left the hotel at 11:50 noon. I was the only one in the quadruple room when I left. Other tenants have checked out. I am also confirming that my 20-inch suitcase is locked. And double locked in the 30-inch luggage. And the laptop is locked in the iron cabinet provided by the hotel, and the lock is double-checked. before leaving the room. PM 18:40 I return to the hotel. After charging in the lobby on the first floor, return to the second floor at 19:40 PM. When I opened the door with a magnetic card, I found that the 20-inch suitcase was taken out of the 30-inch suitcase. Both pieces of luggage had been vandalized open and things were missing. The lock on the iron cabinet was also damaged, and the laptop inside was not taken away. I immediately went downstairs to inform the hotel counter and asked her to come upstairs with me. Later, the hotel staff invited me to the police station. I hurried to the police station, and the police station asked me to call 17 when I went back to the hotel. They will follow the procedure. Those who want to stay, please take care of your own property safety and be mentally prepared''The hotel manager will not be very active in dealing with it'' But on the night of the incident, the lady at the counter was really friendly and eager to help. 我3月17日入住這個飯店。 3月18日我中午11:50 離開飯店。 離開時四人房裡只有我一個人。其他房客已退房。 也在確認自己20吋行李箱鎖好。並且雙重鎖在30吋行李箱內。 而筆電鎖在飯店提供的鐵櫃裡，也雙重確認上了鎖頭。才離開房間。 下午PM 18:40 我回到飯店。先在一樓大廳充電完 PM 19:40分回到2樓。 用磁卡打開門時，發現20吋行李箱從30吋行李箱裡被拿出來。 兩件行李都已被破壞打開並遺失東西。 鐵櫃上的鎖頭也被破壞，裡面筆電也不被拿走。 我立即下樓告知飯店櫃台，並請她跟我上樓看。 後來飯店人員請我去警察局。我趕快到了警察局，警察局人員請我再回到飯店先致電17。他們會照程序。 回到飯店後，晚上 PM 22:50 我打了電話到17。晚上 PM 23:09 警察人員就到飯店了解現場。 當晚到場的其中一個警察跟我們說，上週這間飯店的305號房也發生房內竊盜案。 3月19日 AM 11:00 有警察到飯店房間拍照並再詢問後，他們請我過來警察局報案。 一直到等到3月21日上午經理Michael GIROD上班，他態度不是很好，也沒有道歉。只說會告知保險公司。 想要住的人請小心自身財產安全及有心理準備‘’飯店經理不會很積極的處理‘’ 但是事發當晚，櫃台小姐真的很友善且熱心幫忙。

Yes, rooms are very small by US standards, smaller than the smallest room I saw at the College Park (Atlanta Airport) Econo Lodge. However, they are twice as big as what they call “single rooms” in London’s budget hotels, which are half way between the traditional English phone booth and a small US closet, where you sleep in a tiny 90 centimeters army cot WITHOUT AC for the price you pay at the Los Angeles LAX Sheraton! At this CHOICE COMFORT HOTEL PORTE D’IVRY at least, you will sleep in a double bed in a small but clean room WITH AC, tiny desk and phone, and a full bath with the biggest shower (3 times bigger) that I’ve ever seen in Europe, together with the one of room 823 at the Orly Best Western Plus, which is the same size. It also has a sink with a hair dryer and a private “wishing well”, the greatest invention of mankind… Those amenities such as a big refrigerator, microwave, iron and ironing board that I always see in all CHOICE HOTELS (whether Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, Clarion, etc.) in the US for around $100 with buffet breakfast included, are just a dream in Europe, so forget about it! I’ll say the same about the ice machine, which we find even in cheapest motels, and sometimes on every floor in high-end hotels like the Clarion. Forget it! The only place where I have seen an ice machine outside of the US was at the Gran Hotel Argentino in Buenos Aires, after I harassed the manager during more than seven years asking for it during every trip in the 1990s! THE MAIN ASSET of this Comfort Hotel Porte d’Ivry is its LOCATION. A short 4 blocks walk will put you at “Porte d’Ivry”, where you will see the terminal of bus 27 to go to “Quartier Latin”, “Notre-Dame”, “Opéra” and “Gare Saint-Lazare”, and also the terminal of bus 83, which will take you to “Port Royal” and “Sèvres-Babylone”. At the same “Porte d’Ivry”, you will also see the “Métro” (subway) line 7 going from “La Courneuve” in the north of Paris to “Mairie d’Ivry” in the south. If you enjoy traveling underground, this line will take you straight to “Chatelet” and “Opéra”. But I prefer to do that journey with bus 27. Last but not least, at that “Porte d’Ivry”, you will be able to take TRAM 3a, which circles Paris on the south and will take you from “Pont du Garigliano” on the west, to “Porte de Vincennes” on the east, where you will be able to take TRAM 3b, which circles Paris on the north side, and will take you to “Porte de la Chapelle”, where you will be able to take bus 350 to Roissy CDG. And if you fly to Orly, as I do with Iberia via Madrid, now that American Airlines have discontinued their nonstop flights 62 and 63 between Miami and Paris, then you can take the ORLYBUS and get off at the first stop in Paris, by my beloved Cité Universitaire, where I lived the best five years of my long life in the 1960s, then walk a block to “Montsouris” and take TRAM 3a to “Porte d’Ivy”, only six stations away.
