阿特斯蘭德豪斯鄉村旅館(Altes Landhaus Country Lodge)

Wunderbarer Ort, eine luxuriöse Oase der Ruhe, perfekte Ausstattung und Ambiente. Sehr gute Küche. Super freundliches Personal. Wunderbare Lage und herrlicher Garten. Wenn man vom Swartbergpass und aus der dortigen faszinierenden , harten Natur hier ankommt, ist es wirklich wie ein Wunder.

We arrived at the guesthouse in May 2024 after driving from Cape Town. We arrived around 4pm and were met by staff who helped with our cases and checked us in. The guesthouse as quiet and we were the only guests at the time as it was low season. This guesthouse is ideal for a stop off if travelling from Cape Town to drive the garden route. It is approx 10 min drive out of Oudtshoorn or 5 min from Bufflesdrift game reserve( which is worth a visit to do the elephant experience) The guesthouse has lovely grounds and the lounge is perfect to relax in front of the fire with a glass of wine on an evening. Just wanted to say thank you to all the staff for making us feel welcomed and relaxed during our stay!

Great reception. Really good comfortable room. Great food. Wonderful setting and gardens. What else is there to say. Except really good stay. Don’t miss it on your travels. You may regret it if you do. There is nothing else to say that could make this review any better.

A beautiful lodge at the end of a long day's driving on route 62. Large comfortable suite, old fashioned courtesy and good food awaited us. The owner thoughtfully lit a log fire in the dining room as it was a cool evening and the canvas drapes didn't quite block out the chill. Gorgeous bougainvillea everywhere, a beautiful garden and small swimming pool.

Such a pretty place, a very peaceful place to stop and relax. Madeline and Maria were so lovely. They genuinely wanted you to just relax and let them do everything for you. It was quite an intimate space where everyone sat out on the verandah for breakfast and dinner. The food was lovely and the Malva pudding was divine. All the rooms were large and the shower enclosure could of held a party!!!! Nice pool area to relax by and there was a large comfortable lounge area with an honesty bar. Great p,ace to spend a couple of days.

Altes Landhaus took a bit of finding, which was probably down to our poor navigation ….. but once there it was magical. You are surrounded by nature, with stunning views in all directions. Accommodation and dining were not what you would call ‘swish’ but the a**osphere and views were what made it 5 ⭐️, and of course the staff who were the most kind and hospitable that we have met anywhere. It was an honour to stay here and were very sad to leave .

We absolutely LOVED this Country House Hotel & everything that it offered. We had travelled from Cape Town where we stayed in a beautiful, boutique hotel & were hoping for a completely different experience at Altes Landhaus. That is exactly what we experienced. The grounds are tranquil & beautifully maintained, the accommodation in the superior suites was superb, the staff were friendly and attentive and the food we ate was worthy of any high class restaurant. We particularly loved that we could do everything at slow pace, which was the perfect contrast from the bustling city. This is such a calm and serene venue and ideal for exploring the beautiful surrounding area. A special thanks to Madeleine, who looked after us so well & recommended not only a local beauty spot and waterfall, but also the best route to the next destination on our trip. Had a very good 2 night stay here at Altes Landhaus. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good and the house in general was very impressive. It is an ideal location for a quiet few days. It is a bit out of the way but a perfect location for peace & quiet.

This hotel felt like home from home and is well located for many of the local activities such as Cango Caves and Buffelsdrift safaris. There are only 10 rooms and the staff were really friendly; nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are large and comfortable. The food was tasty and good quality. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet, especially the opportunity to sit by the private pool in the afternoon.
