奧阿庫尼洛磯山木屋(Rocky Mountain Chalets Ohakune)

We stayed here as a bit of sightseeing of NZ Mountains. The drive down from Rotorua was spectacular. Wished we taken a bit longer as there are some monster trout in Lake Taupo. The chalets have a living area with a good kitchen & bathroom. Its set up for skiing holidays in the winter. Its a short walk into Ohakune for shopping and restaurants. Lots of outdoors stuff to do (hiking etc) but you'll exhaust the possibilities of town in an afternoon.

Stayed here on the spur of the moment as we couldn't get to Napier due to the Cyclone. We were not disappointed by the welcome from Jennifer as nothing was too much trouble. The chalet was lovely and clean and very well appointed but the WiFi was dismal and extremely frustrating - bouncing in and out. The phone didn't work but overall we had no complaints. However, we were extremely unlucky in that we hit some very cold and wet weather and couldn't find any way that we could heat the chalet. We were chilled to the bone and sat with blankets around us until we went to bed early to keep warm. If only some heating had been available, our experience would have been so much better.

Great location, a short walk into town and to 🥕 park. Such a great set up. Everything you would need for a family get away. Beds were comfortable and kids appreciated having their own beds (they'd shared a double at the previous place we'd stayed at). Shower was awesome. Would love to stay again.

We loved this accomodation, the chalets are just amazing. All you need for a lovely stay in a great location. Our chalet was positioned a few rows back so we couldn’t hear any road noise. Great contactless option for check in which was hassle free

The Rocky Mountain Chalets are a wonderful collection of small cottages, of differing sizes, nestled on the outskirts of Ohakune, NZ. The cottage in which I stayed was well provisioned, with all necessary kitchen items, linen, towels, and even powder for the efficiency washer. The location is convenient to several natural attractions and a short drive to the restaurants and shops in Ohakune. What made my stay exceptional was the warmth and attention given by the managers. The husband and wife team went well out of their way to ensure my stay was perfect and I thoroughly enjoyed all of our chats. I strongly recommend this establishment if you’re staying in this part of the North Island.

Good sizable accommodation with kitchen facilities. Friendly staff who go the extra mile. Excellent base for mountain biking, skiing, hiking adventures. Accommodation options for all types of groups and family. Clean with comfortable bedding. Walking distance to town and amenities

It was a great place to stay and handy to walks, bike trails and the town for supplies. Would stay again.

Loved loved this place and spot. It reminded me of what kiwi holidays use to be, being in an awesome location with loved ones. The rooms have everything you need, it was like havint your own house in a beautiful location. Really enjoyed it here and loved the added bonus of the spa
