This is a hotel slightly away from the walled town of Obidos, which we thought was a good thing. It is quite, with lots of parking. reception is wide and there is a big bar and restaurant. Our room was on the ground floor and would have had a view of the Pool, which in one way would be lovely in the summer, however you wouldn't be able to have the curtains open. The room was big enough for 1 night with a lot of Wardrobe space. What was a bit off putting was the fact that bathroom had frosted class walls, which is not great when travelling with friends. The Towels were lovely and big and the beds were comfortable enough - only 1 pillow, so you would need to ask for 2nd as we could only see 1 extra in the wardrobe. We had breakfast included - which was a buffet style, lots of cake! and warm milk for the coffee (which was great) If i was in the area, I would stay there again.

We stayed at the “Campanile” hotel in Caldas de Rainha for three nights during October. It was a pleasant stay, in a modern hotel with easy access to main roads, a supermarket near-by, free parking and a room with all amenities. As is the custom lately there is only soap no shampoo, so bring some. The location is in a convenient spot for day trips to close destinations, like the Obidos Castle, the Nazere lighthouse, the Fatima shrine or the Buddha Garden of Eden; all these are within an hour drive. There was a misunderstanding between ******* and the hotel regarding the cost of breakfast. We had seen “included” when booking, but the hotel asked for pay; ******* promised to reimburse us for the cost (6 Euro/day/person). We would recommend this hotel for its location, amenities and low cost.

We stayed here for 3 nights. We arrived by hire car, the access to the hotel from the main routes was easy and there are some parking spots reserved for guests right outside the hotel, otherwise there seems to be plentiful parking at the back of the hotel (we did not need to use this as we were always able to get a parking space out the front). The hotel is located just outside of the walls of the old town of Obidos with very easy access to the old town and all that is has to offer - there are plenty of restaurants within a 5 minute stroll of the hotel. The hotel itself is quite comfortable - good buffet breakfast, nice comfy beds, good water pressure in the shower. We did not eat at the restaurant except for breakfast. It is also very easy to visit places such as Peniche and Nazaré from here. I would stay here again were I to return to Obidos.

A lovingly decorated Hotel in the beautiful old town of Obidos. We visited when the renaissane fair was in town, which led to a great atmosphere in the historic city. The common and private rooms are kept in a medieval-ish style but sport all the modern amenities you could need. The breakfast is well prepared and deliccious and the pool a welcome addition in the hot summer months. There is not too much to visit nearby beside the beautiful old town, but that can easily fill multiple awe-inspiring days. There are multiple restaurants and bars in Obidos that i well recommend. A good mix of relaxing holiday and culture. 9/10 Interior 10/10 Location 9/10 Staff 10/10 Breakfast Das Hotel ist liebevoll in einem mittelalterlichen Stil eingerichtet, die Zimmer verfügen aber natürlich über alle modernen Annehmlichkeiten. Der Pool ist eine willkommene Abkühlung i n den heißen Sommermonaten. Während unseres Aufenthaltes gab es in der Stadt einen großen Mittelaltermarkt, was ein sehr schönes Erlebnis war. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es nicht allzuviele Sehenswürdigkeiten, mit Ausnahme der Altstadt von Obidos. Und diese ist wunderschön, beeindruckend historisch und mit sehr guten Restaurants und Bars ausgestattet, so dass man ohne Probleme einige tage hier verbringen kann. Lo mejor para mí fue la comida, es un comedor pequeño, sin grandes variedades, pero con una comida casera y muy rica. En mi caso, soy celíaca e intolerante a la fructosa, y se portaron muy bien conmigo, cuidaron mucho mi alimentación y me sirvieron con mucho cuidado, todos los alimentos. Mi agradecimiento a la cocinera, y al personal del comedor. Aunque con el resto del personal no tuve tanto trato, lo poco que tuve fue también muy agradable. Las habitaciones están reformadas, son bonitas y están limpias. Sin duda recomiendo este hotel para cualquier tipo de estancia
