埃克斯穆爾白馬旅館(Exmoor White Horse Inn)

This old inn dating back to 1592 I think just oozes old fashioned charm. Everyone we met, staff and customers, were friendly and helpful. There is ample parking, comfortable rooms, a nice big bar with a good choice of drinks and plentiful tasty food. Weather permitting, there is outside seating by the river. Dogs are made very welcome too!

Had a lovely weekend in this gorgeous rural haven. What a beautiful setting. The staff were all great and very helpful. I made changes to my breakfast arrangements - no problem! Needed a change of table in the bar for dinner as the bench was bit hard on my sore back- no problem! The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. I had a single room in the Lodge which was perfect and ate here all 3 evenings (once as part of an event), and enjoyed every meal. Breakfast too. (Great veggie options). And finally the team have gone over and above the call of duty as I left my suitcase behind (and my horse’s grooming kit) which they are now preparing for the courier to pick up tomorrow! Will definitely be back (with my horse too as lovely stables behind hotel).

Just got back from our annual trip to Exmoor, where we stayed at the Exmoor White Horse Inn. This time we stayed in the Lodge with a lovely view over the river. We woke up each morning to the sound of birdsong and the river running by. We enjoyed watching the dippers in the shallows every day, right outside our window. The room was light, airy and very comfortable. The food was excellent as always - both breakfasts and dinners. I was surprised by a recent review of the Sunday carvery - we both had this and it was delicious. One of the best Sunday roasts that we've had in a very long time! The service was great as ever. Peter, Linda and the team have got it just right - friendly, efficient and they make you feel special. Thank you so much for looking after us so well!

Charming old pub in a glorious location, we visited for the Sunday carvery which was unfortunately very average, all meat over cooked and not much flavour. We did see other tables ordering from the menu and the food looked a lot better so we will try that next time. worth going for a few drinks in front of the lovely fire if nothing else.

We've been staying in Exford for the last week and have eaten at The White Horse nearly every night, and a couple of mornings for breakfast too. We had our young dog with us for his first holiday, so we didn't stay there this time, but next time we'd love to stay in the hotel again. The food and service was excellent as always. Thank you Peter, Vincent, Mark and the rest of the team for making our time away special once again.

Lovely place to stay for a couple of days. The room was lovely and clean with plenty of tea, coffee etc. The bed was comfortable although the pillows could have been a bit softer. The food was very good, with a cooked to order breakfast and dinner was delicious. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Would love to go back.

We called in here for a drink at the start of our holiday and sat outside in the sun next to the river, idyllic. Later in the week we went at lunchtime, fantastic menu and specials board, difficult to choose. I had the Venison pie and hubbie the Beef bourguignon, both were delicious and the portions large and reasonably priced. Highly recommend

This pub was a find….they were so accommodating as we did not book…full house…the staff were so friendly and managed to fit us in for their carvery…this made our experience as we felt that they wanted us to stay and eat!…lots of meta choices and you can help yourself to portions…I feel I missed the carrots and broccoli as we only beans on offer. We stayed for homemade pudding and beers! Loved this find and we left feeling so full and happy! I would recommend but I guess you need to book as it was so busy!..loved this place!
