奧克利霍爾飯店(Oakley Hall Hotel)

The surroundings were beautiful making for some lovely walks but the staff were exemplary; every single one always had a smile and was incredibly hospitable, always checking to see if there was anything I needed. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them and it made my solo brainstorming retreat an absolute pleasure. The food was great and my room was also nice and spacious and I am looking forward to coming back!

Our one-night stay at Oakley Hall Hotel was a disappoin**ent. It would have been delightful if we had been able to see the lovely parkland grounds from our room. However, Room 21 overlooks a small dark courtyard, and to disguise this the windows had voile curtains, plantation shutters and curtains, virtually blocking out all natural light. Even with the overhead lights on it was so gloomy I could not see my black socks in the bottom of my suitcase! The additional issue was a problem with the hotel’s boiler, so we had no hot water and were therefore unable to bath or shower either on the evening of our arrival or the next morning. Incidentally, having un-knowingly run cold water into the bath, the plug was then stuck so the water would not drain away. The maintenance man promised for the next morning failed to arrive. (In the event, this was not a problem as we still couldn’t have bathed as still no hot water!!) There was a dreadful lack of communication. Having raised these issues with the reception desk, and being told they were ‘being sorted’ it took two more visits to reception, over the course of nearly an hour, to discover they were not able to sort the problem! A phone call to the room to update us would have been appreciated. Similarly, when checking out, I acknowledged the hotel common areas were lovely; the breakfast good; and the grounds lovely - but that I was very disappointed by the room and certainly by the lack of hot water – not what one would expect for a room charged at over £200 per night! I was told they had my email address and the general manager would most certainly be in touch, I have waited for over 48 hours before posting this review – but am posting it because I have heard nothing! No apology and no offer of recompense. This should have been an absolutely delightful overnight stay – but a dark room with no view and NO HOT WATER is certainly not worth over £200 per night!!

A lovely weekend ruined by a hotel policy of charging your card without asking for consent. Upon arrival they take a credit card deposit for £50 for 'incidentals mini bar etc' .... At no time do they explain that they will then take payments daily from your card for every meal drink etc without informing you. So when it comes to checking out they've already taken the cash. This may be legal but it's deeply disrespectful that this hotel seems to feel that consent is irrelevant in financial matters. Awful awful policy.

Two day stay, given to us as a Chris**as present from our incredibly thoughtful son. Our time there has exceeded all expectations. The architecture and grounds are breathtaking, and the bedroom provided the u**ost comfort with every amenity one could desire. The food was not only delicious but also served in generous portions. However, the true highlight was the staff, whose friendliness and helpfulness truly made our stay memorable. I would wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend Oakley Hall

What a gorgeous Glasshouse Restauraurant and grounds which definitely it is five star review to add to the large collection but, frankly, it is so deserving of it. First time visiting Oakley Hall Park for its famously Sunday Roast and we could not have been happier with the experience. The setting is a delight, the food is beyond wonderful and the staff ,oh the staff, from the waiters to the door staff and beyond they are friendly, helpful and there when you need them without being intrusive (special mention to Bozena, Zoe, Driss and Raju - you did a huge impression to our visit). Their standards are of the highest quality and the training shines through. After lunch, we went for a lovely walk to visit its Kitchen Garden, as it was recommended by the receptionist (Thank you Elena, such a welcoming lady... great first impression to start from the main reception entrance). The garden is very well maintained and a variety of herbs, they even have a beehave, such a marvellous idea. Our visit was just a fabulous experience and one that we will certainly repeat.

We were the wedding DJs at Oakley Hall Hotel last night for Stuart & Joanne. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and I cannot recommend this hotel enough for anyone looking for a truly remarkable experience. From the moment I walked in to the moment we left, everything was simply perfect.

Great hotel, beautiful grounds. The staff were very friendly & helpful, breakfast was tasty with plenty of options, especially for vegetarians. Bed was extremely comfortable & room large with a fantastic view. Would absolutely recommend

Afternoon tea as good as it gets! Great tea, cakes in particular outstanding. Well worth a visit easily on par with the big London Hotels. Lots of food seconds if you require, a selection of teas. Lovely venue. Helpful, friendly, informative staff.

Visited for a family Sunday Roast Dinner yesterday. Beautiful taste, big portions and very well presented. The entire team are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The immaculate lawns and building are very grand. Definitely worth a visit.
