中心飯店(Centrum Hotel - City Center)

Hotel situé en pkrin ce tre. Chambres très confortables. Bon petit déjeuner. Personnel très à l'écoute. A cause d'une chambre sentant la cigarette, un upgrade à été proposé.

With only one night in Nicosia, we chose the Centrum Hotel primarily because of its excellent location: less than 10 minutes’ walk from the bus station, the green line crossing into the Turkish sector, Ledra Street, Eleftheria Square and the Shacolas Observatory. The staff were friendly and helpful, we were given a room upgrade to the top floor (401) where it was very quiet, and we had a good night’s sleep. The room was rather bare and spartan, fine for an overnight stay but we wouldn’t have wanted to stay there for a week. The bathroom was functional but had a rather cold and basic feeling, with no water trap to keep the water within the shower area. However, everything was very clean, with good toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities. The electric heating system worked efficiently. One of the best aspects of our stay was the excellent Cypriot-style breakfast, part buffet and part cooked in the kitchen. It was served on the lowest floor of the building, where we were surrounded by interesting vintage gadgets, displayed rather like a museum! We would certainly recommend this hotel, and particularly for its location and its breakfast!

Unfortunately, even though the rooms were relatively good in terms of cleanliness, comfort and size, the hospitality was not up to standard. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, a group of 40 people for the purposes of the conference. The reception was very rude treating us like we were not paying clients even though we had booked a number of rooms, often saying that the ‘clients’ have been complaining. 12 people were refused to use the lobby at 10 pm saying that it was closed. There was no sign saying so and we were never informed of any such policy. Instead of being welcomed at the premises, we were treated as if the hotel was doing us a favour by allowing us to stay there. At the same time, the very same receptionist was either sleeping during working hours making us believe that he was the one being disturbed or was watching very loudly videos on his phone. Another receptionist was talking on the phone and was screaming. Overall the professionalism of the staff compromised the facilities of the hotel.

This is a very well located, clean, comfortable hotel in the centre of Nicosia. The triple room we had booked was very clean and spacious. The breakfast had the usual hot and cold options, don't expect a huge selection but this hotel does not advertise this anyway. Overall we had a very pleasant 1 night stay and I would stay at the hotel again.

Great hotel with nice lobby. The corridors are full of memerobilia that deserves to be in a museum. Congratulations for the exibitions. The employees are nice and helpfull. Amazing breakfest. Good price. Located in the middle of the citu and close to everything.
