We checked in, we’re given the room key card and went to go check it out. My husband and I walked in and it looked okay, not as nice as the pictures look, but could live with that.
My husband pulled the blanket down on the bed and found stains on the fitted sheet as well as the flat top sheet.
I was looking around in the room and counted at least 5 live flies, and other dead ones. On top of the stained bedding, this was an immediate turn off. I ended up killing a couple of the flies with their notepad of paper that they had near the TV. My husband and I were less than impressed, and quite frankly just disgusted. The floors were slightly wet so they must have just cleaned the floors but still put stained sheets on the bed and didn’t do anything with the flies, dead or alive.
We brought our room card key back to the front desk and I explained to the staff that we would not be staying and why. They offered to put us in a different room, but we declined. We both had a very sour taste in our mouths from the presentation of our room for the price we paid per night.
I was rudely told I would need to contact ******* because I booked this room on here, and that they would still be charging me for the first night’s stay regardless. I spoke with ******* who also spoke with the property, they still declined to give me a full refund. They are keeping $140 of my money. Lesson learned: I will not waste my money on a place like this in the future, no second chances here!
