布斯克飯店(Hotel Bosco)

Fantastic location so close to Surbiton station meant after a speedy check in was able to get the train into london to catch a show. Parking was available not too far away and as we had to rush for a train our luggage was taken to our room ready for our return. The room was clean and bed extremely comfortable with a fab jacuzzi style bath. The spread at breakfast in the morning was delicious, and whilst there was no cooked option, what was available was delightful. Fresh juices - orange/apple, yoghurts, granola compotes, cereal, bread/toast/bagels/muffins, cold meats, cheese, smoked salmon, tomato, cucumber, cook your own boiled eggs with timers, fresh fruit - apples/bananas/satsumas/grapes, croissants/pastries, freshly prepared choice of coffees and teas. Set us up for the day of sightseeing! Every interaction with staff was professional, helpful and genuine! All with a smile 🙂

The Hotel is in a great location for Surbiton station however that's as good as it gets for this review. Check in was easy and stress free. The room was on the first floor and was dirty. Three out of the four pillow cases were stained and the bath had not been cleaned (Toe nails in bath). The walls were stained with yellow stuff and the kitchen extraction fan was right outside our window. To the rear of our room was a yard and at 0600hrs the yards forklift started. Breakfast is very poor with the pastries being stale and there are eggs however you are expected to boil them yourself. I appreciate business have to make money however we paid a lot for this room and it was as if the Hotel didn't want us to return before we had even arrived.

Room noisy constant humming all night breakfast was very disappointing cold meat and cheese only cooked item was a boiled egg which you had to cook yourself in a machine that spat boiling water everywhere. No staff on sight in evenings. No food when arrived have to eat out. Situated next to a Wetherspoons not the best. Would not stay here again.

Having read the reviews, I paid more for an Exec room and avoided the cheaper "weekend discounted noisy" rooms. This is totally misleading as the hotel is small and the nightclub very loud with heavy bass that infiltrates all the bedrooms on the 1st and 2nd floors, regardless of category. This is not just a bit of irritating music but head pounding, thumping bass that feels like an EQ. Apparently it's ok on the third floor according to the manager but if so all the rooms on the 2nd floor should be discounted , which is not the case. Management need to decide if they want to run a hotel or a nightclub and be more honest about the extent of the noise pollution because the two simply do not mix so this goes down as the most noise and least sleep I have had in years of booking hotels through this website. The buffet breakfast is also pretty mediocre

I am not sure how this hotel gets a 4 star rating You need to buzz reception to get service, with a reception like a travel lodge I booked breakfast to be told on arrival it is only continental, the porridge is an add water pot that you would find in a garage. No meat or cheese just cereal, toast and hot water to boil your own egg I was also told in reception that there was no bar or restaurant available

Great hotel but it really should advertise the fact that the restaurant and bar are closed on a Sunday and not only can you not check in before 2pm, you can’t even leave your bags anywhere as the place is locked up with no staff on site! Regardless of this, the hotel was lovely, quiet, comfortable and great value. Breakfast was also lovely. Will definitely stay again

The room was very comfortable and well-appointed and the hotel is in an ideal situation pretty much opposite Surbiton station. This hotel was converted ten years ago or so from an office block and the furnishings seemed up to date. Breakfast was good - no cooked breakfast from what I could tell but cereals, bread items, cold meats, cheese, pastries etc. The dining area - which I've visited before as it also operates as a cafe-bar - has a variety of seating areas including secluded places facing out to the street, which I liked. In the modern style there is no room phone to call reception but they do put a card by the bed telling you what number to call if you need anything. Staff were generally friendly and interactions were good. Storage space was adequate for the two nights I stayed. The only quibble I had with the bathroom was that bath/shower unit - I spent some time trying to work out how it functioned, and there's a risk of scalding or soaking yourself if you get it wrong. It really needs instructions. I would be wary of the noise issue though, given what other reviewers have said: downstairs can be noisy Fridays and Saturdays, and the pub is next door to a large Wetherspoons. In all, a good stay and a good experience.
