Amazing hotel and location. Rooms were spotless and spacious. Daily cleaning and fresh towels. Excellent restaurant reasonably priced and very family friendly. Excellent leisure facilities. Killaloe/ballina is a gorgeous area. Clean and untouched landscape. Really beautiful to escape hectic life and immerse in beautiful picturesque surroundings. Highly recommend.

Stayed here for a family trip. The Waterfront rooms were absolutely fantastic. Lovely touches, such as a plate with chocolate tipped strawberry’s and macarons on the room table. Plus a bar of chocolate on the bed. Bathroom was spotless with huge shower and a bath. Room was immaculate and opened up onto a veranda overlooking the river/lake. We had a few rooms alongside each other so we were able to sit out with a few drinks in the evening and have a lovely chat. Fabulous setting. Evening meal menu was extensive and everything was beautifully cooked. There was a wedding on at the same time, but the “noise” of the celebrations were generally in another part of the hotel. The Leisure Centre was also great and the robes provided in the rooms were a lovely quality for walking from the room to the centre. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

Spent one night at this hotel with my son to break a long journey. Absolutely loved this hotel, the staff were all so professional, welcoming and friendly, especially the lovely gentleman who greeted us at breakfast, he was simply delightful!! Food in bar was very good and well priced and the kids menu had great choices including fruit and veggies which I am always delighted to see. Breakfast was plentiful, fresh and well- present. Good coffee too!! My son loved the leisure centre and all of the staff on the desk and the lifeguards around the pool area were very attentive and hardworking. Minor gripe maybe is that the room was a little tired and dated. The decor and furniture was very heavy but that's just my personal opinion. I had a great night's sleep and will definitely be back with my husband and other 2 kids soon.

Stayed in the Superior Waterfront Rooms. Wow, what an experience. Stayed for our 15th Wedding Anniversary, returning to were we got married. The hotel additions are fantastic. Such wonderful special touches in the room to make the trip memorable. Lunch in the bar was amazing, staff were so friendly. Relaxed in the balcony watching the sun set. Highly recommend a visit. Can’t wait to go back.

A peaceful hotel within an easy drive. Nice lawns and indoor areas for resident's enjoyment. All around top class place to stay. All the staff were professional,Friendly and obliging. Weather wasn't good but looks like a great place to walk besides the river and town. Breakfast offered a wide range of buffet style with hot and delicious food. It was the best breakfast we ever had. The man from Pakistan on breakfast counter was so polite,smiling face and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely love to return. Highly Recommended

The hotel is situated in a fabulous location. Our room was tired.bed was beside the bathroom door .unable to adjust heating in the room windows would only open a tidy bit. Unable to sleep due to the heat .booked a lake view but really got more of the carpark and the smell of the kitchen cooking was overwhelming. The food was excellent could not fault the quality of the food and drinks. The staff seemed unfamiliar with breakfast set up,however the waitress staff at dinner was super attentive and helpful. Unable to use spa or leisure facilities due to a tragedy which was totally understandable. Over all lovely hotel. The room let it down

My girlfriend booked this hotel for 1 night. It is located on very nice location beside the river.Our room was lovely. Pillow were soft. Our experience was seven star when we have hot breakfast in the morning with lot of choices. On breakfast counter the guy was so polite,Friendly and helpful.(I think his name was Raymond). He explained us everything on breakfast counter and menus as well. Our 1 night stay was excellent. We will definitely come back.

This hotel has so much potential based on location and just THE best staff. But hotel itself needs a lot of TLC. If you are a normal guest not staying in the front section of hotel then you see the flaws. The pool area needs major refurbishment. The dressing room is just manky dirty. The pool is grubby. All in all it’s just under par. Rooms are fine. I had one of the cheaper ones with a view of the recycling bins but room itself was fine. The restaurant is cold and lacks Irish warmth with mediocre food. Such a shame. Plus photos on their website do not reflect what it looks like today 2024. Just sad. Cause it could be absolutely fantastic.

It was our 1st and last visit to The Lakeside Hotel. When we arrived we didn't know if we were at the Front or back of the Hotel as there was no signage. But Carmela from the Leisure Centre went above and beyond to assist us. The major issue was the Accessible Room, which had no handrails in the shower (preventing me from taking a shower) and had only 1 parallel handrail on a child size toilet. The Staff in the Hotel went out of their way to assist. But, the very narrow room and no relaxing place to sit (except in the bar), overall left a very poor impression of the Hotel. Hats off to the Chief as dinner and breakfast was excellent. But, we will not be returning.
