石上清泉(Spring Land Villa)

4.5 stars. The hosts are very nice people and will help move your luggage down and up the stairs on this hillside property. The husband speaks English. Unfortunately they allow their large pet dog into the kitchen and common eating area. The dog lovers in our Intrepid group though this cute; but please also consider those who have higher hygiene standards. The breakfast was otherwise pleasing. We were in room A8 and I think that there is quite some variation from room to room. Our room was large, very clean and modern BUT it came with a wet shower bathroom, so that floor gets wet. Not practical for us. The lighting and mirror in the bathroom are also not useful for shaving. No tea bags or coffee sachets or sugar or powdered milk in the room though there was a kettle and mugs. USA style filter coffee was offered at breakfast but this style of hot drink is a taste that I wish not to develop. The insect screens on windows and the sliding door to the patio were appreciated; as was the great in room wi-fi. Very firm mattresses but this is typical of Taiwan.
