Hotel terribile, sporco, bagni indecenti e mancanza di acqua Letti con coperte sporche al posto dei copri materassi, asciugamano (solo 1!!) strappato. Molto umido, le foto pubblicate non corrispondono minimamente alla realtà e lo sconsiglio vivamente Colazione dolce inesistente, pane e zucchero ( non c’era burro e la marmellata era in una coppetta di metallo abbastanza schifosa)

Annoyingly, tripadvisor requires a 200-character written review, which I really don't want to do for some entities. This hotel certainly merits a "5" rating, especially considering where it is, but not for any specific asset. Certainly felt like an especially safe and secure place, especially with the military base just across the street.

This is more of a resort for the kenyan people rather than those doing safari. It’s like a holiday place for kenyan people. Not the cleanest, but need to remember you are in kenya… its not like the UK. The room however does have a TV and good wifi, so take a firestick or something similar to watch tv on!

A nice comfortable 2-day stay. Clean place, wonderful staff and proprietors. Our room was large and clean, in the back corner and had 2 large windows. A very cozy view! At night they turned down our beds and closed the curtains - a nice touch! We ate dinner outside on the lawn - it was a lovely buffet. They have a pool that looked like a lazy river! But we only got cocktails from the bar and sat by the pool. It was too chilly for us! Other ppl did use the pool, and they were playing good music in the background while we were there. There were several stray cats around and it was fun to observe them running around the property.

Nice place, but no hot water in the shower. The staff at the reception waa very nice and the food was okay. We arrived when it was dark and we left early in the morning so we did not use the pool which seemed nice. There is also a tower to see the view.

Horrible place, shower had been pulled out of the wall and when shown to the receptionist shrugged and walked off for 20 mins. This was quite late and we were eventually placed in the VIP suite......Ha! single fluorescent light and needed factor 50 sunscreen with no air conditioning. Food (oxymoron for the day) was disgusting , dried chicken bones a bowl of soup and a stale bread roll. Plenty of complaints and the hotel manager came to talk and said that the hotel was expanding to be a 200 room conference base. (FFS)...sorry about that but get your basics right first. Didn't even bother with breakfast next morning just happy to see the back of the place. Oh, the shower was cold in the VIP suite too. Yet the previous nights under canvas there had been good food, hot showers and flushing toilets.oh and as for a bar, if a warm beer is wanted, fine. Wine and spirits one had to purchase a bottle.......needless to say we didn't. This hotel owner just has not got a clue. If it can be managed in an eco camp on the Massai Mara, then it shouldn't be beyond the bounds of possibility to succeed in some small way in a 'modern' hotel. The safari operator will be appraised of this review

The staff were lovely and the rooms clean and tidy. The pool area was lovely and well kept. The food was not the best purely down to lack of options but what was cooked was very nice. The location to lake Nakuru national park was very good (around 5/10 minutes) and away from the city which was nice.

We were delighted with our stay at the matfam hotel. The management is attentive, and the staff adorable and take great care to make our stay pleasant. The rooms are simple and comfortable with a hotel service. The swimming pool, the bar, the restaurant, everything is perfect and ideal for spending a few days of relaxation in peace and green. Also at the top for the organization of a day at Nakuru Park, and transfer to Nairobi. If you pass by...don't hesitate! This is an address to remember!
