帝王飯店(The Monarch Boutique Hotel)

Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption und die Security waren sehr freundlich und haben uns sehr willkommen genießen. Generell fand ich es dort sehr angenehm. Das einzige was mich sehr enttäuscht hatte, waren die Mitarbeiter für die Zimmerreinigung. Ich hatte Oberteile im Schrank gehabt und zwei wurden mir dort geklaut. Ich hatte dem Manager bescheid gegeben und er hatte mit dem Zuständigen für die Reinigungskräfte gesprochen. Diese kam dann zu mir und meinte Sie würde sich darum kümmern und zu einem Späteren Zeitpunkt bei mir melden, was aber nicht geschah.

Nothing unique. If there's such a thing as false advertising, this booking was it. The rooms could really use a spruce up. The linen is overdue for replacement, not sure why you call it premium? My bad, I should have paid attention to the other reviews before confirmation of booking. Plus the VIP perk (round-trip airport pick and drop) -- why offer something you intend to charge me for? I'd still have booked with or without the perk. The ping-pong between ******* and the Monarch staff just left me feeling frustrated and used... The fact though that no one at the hotel acknowledged my booking or email inquiries until check-in/out is the reason I'm giving you a low rating. Do better, The Monarch/*******.

Overall, it was an okay stay. Although you're able to hear noises from the floor above - where conferences are held and noises from the corridor as well. The breakfast is pricey compared to what is served - you only have the option to get their buffet and menu/ala carte is not available for breakfast. I have to say their restaurant menu is good though and reasonably priced as well. I feel very safe as well. The reception turned off the wifi when I wanted to book an Uber rather than using their service - not great!

The bedroom was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. The food was terrible. The staff were very chatty but I did not like the fact that many were trying to see what they could get from me. In particular several wanted me to sponsor their move to Ireland where I would organise work for them. I have been to Kenya 24 times and stayed in hotels of all standards but this stands out for the reasons already mentioned. I would not recommend this hotel at all.

Cornel, Jemimah, Peter and liz were very caring and helpful in our conference meeting. The food was delicious and to spice it up the snacks killed it coz the snack were freshly made. Tho I loved the wings more..we will be back for the services.
