阿伯代爾鄉村俱樂部飯店(The Aberdare Country Club)

This is a historic location, it is beautiful and I want to support it, but I do need to point out some facts. 1. It is on a steep hillside and travel to your cabin may involve walking up several flights of steep stairs at high altitude. 2. our cabin (25) had black mold on the ceilings in both the bathroom and bedroom. 3. The peacocks and peahens that are so pretty during the day scream like a woman being murdered all night long outside your window. No doubt you could get used to this, but not the first night. Otherwise, they will light a fire in your fireplace to warm the cabin, it has cable TV, the bed is comfortable, and it is very pretty.

Did Horseriding at the property and we loved it! It was our second time. Our guide Stanley as usual was very patient with us and made sure we got as close as we could to the Giraffes and Zebras. It was amazing! Please ask for Stanley, he makes it worthwhile. Coming back soon!

Bel hotel sous forme de bungalows dans un grand parc peuplé d animaux. Grande chambre avec possibilité de chauffage, salle de bain spacieuse avec baignoire et douche, personnel agréable (vous apporte une bouillotte car le soir il fait froid et humide). Cuisine excellente. Notre seul problème a été la serrure de la chambre.

We visited in 2019 and are so glad to return this summer. We were in a group of 24 travelers and we joined the morning nature walk and horse riding. They were great. The rooms were spacious, clean and cozy. Instead of feeling “dated”, we enjoyed its traditional British style. The restaurant and bar were fantastic, too. We also visited their sister hotel, The Ark Lodge, and we had great time there. For those who love animals, you’ll see animals nearby around your cottages! At night, if you feel cold, you can ask them to light up your fireplace and put hot water bags under your blankets. So sweet!

The location is super; on a hill with beautiful (vergezichten) and a beautiful garden filled with flowers, raindears and monkeys. The central place (with bar & restaurant) is in British country club style, very cosy. The rooms are a bit outdated but clean and cosy. Ask for the rooms more up hill. Swimming pool is nice (not busy). The food is good, people are very friendly and helpfull. In high season the restaurant can be busy with big, Asian, groups but if you go for breakfast, lunch, dinner a bit later (then starting hour) you can avoid them.

Versteckt in den Aberdare Highlands, an einem Hang des Mweiga Hill, weht einem der Hauch längst vergangener britischer Kolonialzeit entgegen. Dieser Country Club liegt in einer gepflegten Gartenlandschaft, die einen Golfplatz umgibt. Aus der umliegenden Natur kommt Besuch in Form von Zebras und Antilopen; abends nimmt man seinen Sundowner auf einer gepflegten Terasse ein. Unbedingt zu empfehlen, die „walking Safari“, auf der man dann gleich feststellt, dass man sich in einem rd. 800 km2 großen Nationalpark befindet…. Wir stießen immerhin auf eine 27 köpfige Giraffenfamilie, die gleich unterhalb des Klubs „wohnt“…

This is a review for the restaurant only. We were part of a group transferring to the Ark Lodge and had lunch before boarding the shuttle bus. The food was good and served very efficiently in a buffet style. The club building was inaugurated in 1932 and has beautiful grounds and views. Also a 9 hole golf course with antipopes and wart hogs grazing on the greens.

What a lovely Resort with peacocks, antelopes and zebras running around the place. The cottage is quite far from the Reception area but the walk is enjoyable since you may bump into some animals waiting to greet you. The food is excellent with lot of Indian food variety. The property is owned by yesteryear Bollywood actress Mumtaz and her husband. The fireplace in the cottage makes it unique. The service is impeccable and quick. The Aberdare National Park is at a walkable distance where you can sight Giraffes, Zebras etc. Would like to go back again.

Awesome property.Rooms were big . Food choices were limited but the animals around was good experience. Misty morning gave a chilling experience. Front desk was helpful in processing requirements. Pool and lawn tennis court were there golf course was also there . Must take there nature walk in there own game sanctuary as it was some experience, we saw so many animals as Francis described us about them
