Owner was welcoming and friendly as she accepted us when we arrived. Great service from owner as I was fasting at the time and she made provision for me for my breakfast as it was at 5am.overall fantastic

This was our second stay at Tuareg, and again it was very enjoyable. The owner, Bertha, has tried very hard to counter the effects of load shedding, and always tried to 'go the extra mile' to be helpful to us. Running a business such as this is South Africa these days is very challenging, and Bertha makes a very good job of doing so.

Upon arrival at the guest house, the exterior lacked appeal, and the garden's neglect was evident, with overhanging tree branches obstructing the paths. The owner insisted on escorting me to the room with a bag, citing past issues, which I understood. However, this initial inconvenience was compounded by the owner following me to the car, and upon my return, she was nowhere to be found. Later that evening, when we had to leave due to an emergency, the owner's response to returning the keys was unexpectedly rude, almost as if she didn't believe our genuine situation. This, coupled with the pervasive sense of being monitored throughout our stay, made for an uncomfortable experience. We were ultimately relieved to depart, as the overall atmosphere failed to meet our expectations.

Incredible nice location with giant spacious apartments in a park of 6000 square metres ground with private entry road. Fully furnished with a complete kitchen Fantastic bed. We had a great family break at Tuareg! The service was amazing and we enjoyed our time relaxing by the pool and walking through the lovely gardens! Our kids loved it too. Thanks to Bertha and the Taureg team for making it a memorable stay!

Enjoyable stay, beautiful setting, lovely breakfast, friendly staff and accommodating. Will definitely visit again. My family enjoy the view, stay, setting, friendly atmosphere and also the two lovely fur babies. A home away from home.

The description and photos are entirely accurate; the decor is beautiful and opulent. The property is secure and the service is friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. We loved the roaring fire over breakfast on the chilly winter mornings! The location is easy to access and central to most locations in the Midrand area.

I highly recommend choosing this guest house if it is in your list of places to consider. The rooms are gorgeous, comfy and so well decorated. Everything you need is available (including wine glasses) and the area is so peaceful - it doesn’t feel like it’s only a few kilometres from the Mall of Africa and a busy highway. The team looked after my so well, even offering to get me a hot water bottle during load shedding to help with the cold. This guest house is an absolute gem and I hope I get the opportunity to go back and stay there again.

My husband, toddler and I stayed at Tuareg recently and it was a wonderful experience. The owner is welcoming and helpful and the resident Great Dane is a sweetheart too. Having to cope with loadshedding, the guest house is stocked with everything you need to try to make yourself comfortable in an uncomfortable situation! Security is good too and the ladies at breakfast were always ready to make us our meal with a smile. The grounds are sprawling with a little play area for our baby. All in all, we were really impressed and look forward to visiting again!
