南海灘貝特西飯店(The Betsy Hotel, South Beach)

J’avais demandé pour une arrivée vers 15h au lieu de 16h et nous avons reçu une des 2 chambres à 16h et autre à 17h ! Nous avons reçu 4 boissons gratuites pour l’attente …. Nous avons été surclassé et avions une chambre suite avec balcon au lieu d’une suite normale !! Elle était bruyante sur Collins, réveillés à plusieurs reprises dans la nuit et le matin par les travaux et marteaux piqueurs 😩 ! Je ne sais pas si la suite vaut réellement la peine par rapport au prix ? La propreté était laisse aller. Une dernière chose, nous n’avons pas pu profiter des installations sous une pluie et un vent démentielles…. De plus, nous avons attendu 45 mns pour le valet parking alors que nous l’avions commandé 45 mns avant. Cet hôtel reste un très bel hôtel entouré d’art ! Le personnel est tres courtois.

I paid $1,300 for a one night stay. Initially the room we were assigned had mold on pictures and the room smelled like mold. The manager Chris was able to re assign us to a suite, which was completely an upgrade from the older section. Once the room was ready, we went in and there was hair on the chair in the living room and a cup and ash tray full of cigarettes and coffee on the balcony. Trash can was not thrown out from previous stay. I expected a luxury stay and the aforementioned did not reflect that experience.

I booked my stay at the Betsy based on reviews and the aesthetic of the property. It is an old building. That being said, rooms are tiny! The bed I slept in the first night was uncomfortable and had a dip indentation in it (not comfortable.) I went to the restaurant downstairs for a late lunch, the table was dirty- I had to ask to have the booth seat cleaned and I wasn’t greeted or asked to be helped when I was seated so after a while I eventually left to eat somewhere else. The next day I woke up and had breakfast downstairs and it was a pleasant experience. I did change rooms to upgrade to a larger room. The sofa in the room is rundown and sagging (old Ikea?) Unfortunately the television in the bedroom did not work as well as the telephone. When asked if something could be done I was told that there wasn’t anyone available to address the problem so I could not watch TV in bed like I like to do. Also, using the one phone that worked in the living area to call to asked for help- was unavailable- the front desk would not answer calls. So I had to walk downstairs to asked for help. The rooms are decent but becoming run down, there were several hairs in the both bathrooms that I stayed in (gross.) Unfortunately I do not believe the price of the hotel matched the quality of the accommodations.

The Betsy felt like a home away from home. It is in the PERFECT location, near all relevant attractions. At the end of each exciting adventure we came home to the Betsy for nightly music, classy but relaxed atmosphere, and food and drinks with new “friends”. Perfect.

I absolutely loved our 4 night stay at The Betsy. The atmosphere was very retro and made you feel like you were stepping back into the 1950s, yet everything was very contemporary at the same time. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The only downside is that we didn’t have tv service the whole entire time but they made up for it by not charging us for any movies we had to order to entertain ourselves while in the room. We’d definitely stay there again.

Hotel confortável e com excelente localização. A área externa que fica de frente para a Ocean Drive é muito agradável para se tomar o café da manhã (muito bom, por sinal) ou um drink. Destaco o excelente atendimento dos Srs. Fritzner e Esra, que fizeram de tudo para solucionar pequenos percalços que tivemos na nossa estadia. Voltaremos lá, com certeza.

Great location, great hotel, great restaurant, people are lovely but our room (room 105, classic king suite) was the worst. I do not know about the other rooms but our room has serious problems; First has no sound isolation from corridor and the noise started 06:00 am everyday. Second and third are about beds; King size bed was not comfortable, probably old and the sofa bed was the worst.

Our stay was disappointing. Like the South Beach area the Betsy is feeling tired and a bit resting on its laurels in terms of quality of provision. It is saved by the overall friendliness and service of the more junior staff while management need to be more conscientious to bring the Betsy back to where it should be.

un hotel muy bonito, con mucha memorabilia, frente a la playa, limpio y personal amable. El servicio en la alberca fue lento, la habitación estaba bien. Excelentes los desayunos.
