新浴飯店(New Bath Hotel & Spa)

Wasn't actually able to stay at the hotel sdue to an error in their system. The hotel were accommodating to try and get is booked in on 3 extra dates but unsuccessful. Refused a refund on the issue. Can't say alot more other than a shame we were unstable to stay.

We booked this hotel for 2 nights with family. But would say have had a worst experience of our life. The entire hotel is full of spider webs. The room is in a terrible state, with broken and rusty furnitures, broken bed, full of dust and spider webs. My little one got so much of rashes cause of the insects in the room. We booked breakfast with room and that was the worst choice ever. The breakfast consisted of ready croissants, pancakes, waffles and some stale cut fruits. No eggs nothing. Please do not book this hotel as you will be wasting your time and money. Rather look for some decent hotel.

This hotel is close to Bakewell and Chatsworth House. Both are within around 20 minutes driving distances. It is located in a Matlock village, lots of walking routes you can enjoy.

Hotel itself is lovely, however the Annex building where we stayed is freezing! The radiator was Luke warm with no controls to change it. A little heater was provided which made no difference. On arrival we were told spa was included in our stay however spa treatments would need to be booked in advance. Used the spa after breakfast Sunday morning to be questioned in front of everyone else in the spa if we had a booking! Several times..embarrassing. Then to be told on checking out we had to pay a further £20 because we had used the sauna for 20 minutes. Staff were so so rude. We asked to speak to a manager, none work on a Sunday. Not to mention been locked out of the hotel on arrival from our night out. Staff didn’t hear the doorbell as he had his ear phones in..! Wouldn’t recommend

Room clean and bed comfortable. The room had a bath, which is good, but the hot water was only just warm enough without any cold added. Bathroom smelt musty, possibly because the extractor fan was turned off, and when turned on made a loud clattering noise. Otherwise, a good hotel and I enjoyed my stay. Maybe because it was winter the full lounge and bar menu shown on the website was not available and the more limited menu was only available until 4.00 pm.

Bit disappointed overall with our stay. We were really looking forward to our stay after a challenging few months. We made the best of it but feel cleanliness, breakfast and heating could have been better. Pool and spa were closed 2/3 days of our stay. Spa was OK, massage great. Facilities were tired. Breakfast had poor choice. Staff tried their best but lack of management and organisation, perhaps it was the end of the season.

Good things: the pool, the quiet, the comfy bed. Bad: the dirty bath, the freezing cold, the thin inadequate duvet, with no extra blankets provided. Staff were lovely but no manager to be found.

Disappointing stay for a wedding. We stayed 2 nights. Breakfast finished at 9:30am, way too early so we missed it the second day. On the first day there was no staff in the restaurant for breakfast, guests were checking themselves in off the sheet, they also ran out of breakfast items. No hairdryer in the room so had to go and buy one! Pillows were awful, flat, uncomfortable and cheap, or about 20 years old. On the first night we stayed in the annex, it was freezing cold and had to use an electric heater, walls and ceilings thin so can hear everything above you and next to you, like the person snoring in the next room.

We didn't use the spa but the hotel was clean and in the right place for adjoining areas. We didn't eat in as there didn't seem too much choice for me being a veggie. Staff were friendly and didn't disturb us when we were resting.
