1. Upon checking in, we were told that we would have to pay for parking if we were not BonVoy members. Is that what “parking available” means? I was told that I could sign up for membership on the spot. I am a BonVoy member – have been for several years, so I was not charged for parking. I thought that this policy was not clearly stated in the ******* listing.
2. We entered the room. The coffeemaker had only one single-cup coffee packet. The bathroom counter was covered with dust.
3. The first morning we went down to breakfast. The coffee dispenser in the lobby was completely empty. We waited 20 minutes for more coffee to be made.
4. The first morning I took a shower. The sliding-glass door has been removed from the walk-in shower, and a shower curtain hangs in its place. The shower curtain is not long enough to prevent water from getting onto the floor. After showering, I stepped out of the shower into a puddle of water. I got on my hands and knees and mopped up the water, using most of the available towels in the process. I told the clerk about the incident as we left the hotel that morning. When we returned that evening, the wet towels were still on the bathroom floor.
5. The second morning we went down to breakfast. Again, the coffee dispenser in the lobby was completely empty.
6. We have stayed at this Fairfield Inn in the years before the remodeling. We miss the well-established basic services that kept us coming back.
