This is a great boutique hotel! Great stay and excellent value for money! The continental breakfast was fresh and a large variety. The lunch and dinner options were also really good, fresh and nicely presented. The main dining area was newly refurbished and was light and airy. The drinks and cocktails were also really good with homemade syrups and teas. Staff are friendly overall. Great location to the beach, less than 5 minute walk round the corner and Ammoudara Beach is sandy not rocky like some of the others along the east of the island. The local taverna and beach side cafes are clean and also good value for money. The hotel is close to the main city, 20mins by bus and there is a bus stop outside the hotel as well as a little supermarket to buy water and snacks. We bought all our water from there as it was much cheaper than buying through hotel. The hotel was clean and whilst some of the rooms have been modernised we had an old room, not really an issue as the beds were still comfortable and clean but this is not clear from the website or at time of booking. It is also a quiet location despite being on a main road, you cannot hear it from your room. The negatives we had are room for improvement and not reasons to not stay. The safe in our room was broken so we had to lock our valuables in a suitcase. Not the end of the world but would be nice if fixed. You are charged to use the cabana beds 20euros after pool hours (pool hours are 9am-7pm where cabana use is free) but after 7pm you are done sunbathing for the day and likely heading out. Seems cheeky considering you are already a paying guest. They also said the reason for this was that people did not respect or care for the furniture which is why they imposed the cost...again think this is a bit steep and unfair for a paying guest. The regular sunbeds are all fine and clean and free to use so we stuck to those. States it is adult only but on two different days there was a toddler there which was a bit disappointing. Semi open pool to the locals which we did not know about. Although not an issue it does create a crowded pool area and less availability on sun beds. Staff tended to ask locals for pool side service rather than guests, we were only approached once during our stay otherwise we went to the bar ourselves. Photos are deceptive, it is a small hotel with limited number of seats. They do prioritise locals over tourists. The negative of it being on a main road is that the hotel is completely open. You can walk through the car park round the back and you are at the pool, anyone can walk through, would be nice to have a little extra security however we did not experience any issues from this and felt safe throughout our stay. Lastly, it is next to a construction site and is semi visible. Again this was not an issue for us as there were no works or noise and we weren't too bothered about the outside view. Hotel does not mention this at time of booking so would check if you decide to bo
