We stayed here while visiting my daughter at UW for her birthday. There were 4 of us (myself, husband, 16 yr old and 3 yr old) and I booked the double queen poolside room. Best decision ever! The rooms are somewhat small, especially when you add a pack and play for a toddler. But with the pool lobby area it felt like an extension of our room. The hotel wasn’t crowded at all and we enjoyed using the pool and hanging out in that area. There was even a nice bathroom that comes in handy with 4 people (ended up being 5 because my daughter who said she would want to sleep back at her dorm decided to stay as well.) The room was very clean and updated and amenities seem well kept. The location can’t be beat. We walked to dinner and breakfast. My only complaint (more of a suggestion) would be a coffee station in the lobby. The restaurant on-site sells coffee but we ended up going next door. Overall, I highly recommend and on an “off” weekend in February, it’s very reasonable.
訪訪客I always stay here when i come to Madison. the venue is always in perfect condition but then the staff can't be any nicer. From the Front Desk, (Sam, Jim and Grace) to the Breakfast area (Julie & Allison) the staff is always pleasant and have great attitudes. The housekeeping staff is second to none, they have your room so clean you look forward to heading there every evening. Stan G
This may be the worst Hampton Inn we have ever stayed at. We booked a king room and we got a small bizarrely laid-out, dark dingy room towards the end of the hall. We felt so light deprived. It was quite depressing. The bathroom fan didn't work. There was a small broken refrigerator (door to the cabinet with the fridge was off the hinges), no microwave and a small coffee maker behind the bathroom door in a very small nook. You can only make coffee in the bathroom with the bathroom door closed. We looked into a few other rooms that house keeping was cleaning and the other rooms looked more normal in size and more well lit. After the fact we realized we should have complained immediately about our room. We went out to dinner one night came back and our room keys no longer worked (infact they would no work to even get into the hotel through the back entrance). It took 20 minutes for the hotel personnel to restore access to our rooms , no apology. When we checked out and told the staff about our experience, all they said was , ”have a nice day”. No apology or attempt to show sympathy. It really was the worse Hampton Inn we have ever experienced. We definitely felt like we did not get our money's worth. Plenty of other places to stay near by, next time we are in town to see our daughter we will fore sure find another place. Very dissatisfied!!!
訪訪客Checkin was easy, very convenient location right off highway and near lots of shopping. Using Navigation to hotel is tricky, it tries to take you through the block - just drive by where it tells you to turn and drive past the other name hotel and go around the corner, it’ll be easy to find then. Very good breakfast, chose from cooked your way eggs w/potatoes, or pancakes or French toast - all served with choice of bacon or sausage. Lots of parking!
AAmy LI had a room rented for a couple of weeks for my stepfather’s 90th birthday bash. On the day I was to travel, my mother called and she was SO sick, and meanwhile, my stepfather was having problems with his back to where he could barely move! I phoned the hotel and Vick, the general manager, not only refunded me most of the price for my reservation, he informed me of the third party vendor with whom I made the reservation on line and could not recall, but he graciously answered there questions about his name, and his title, which the “title” they did not tell me about the first time I called. So, a total of 3 calls to Vick! I stay at this hotel every time I see my parents. It’s very close to our family home. I have reserved rooms before only as Amy Cardwell, but I got married and my last name changed to Laster. That did not matter to Vick. He just wanted to help me! Thank you, Vick!
Bed was a bit too soft. There is only one elevator for a large set of rooms on second floor. Breakfast was good. Eggs tasted fine and not too runny. Air conditioner was good. Front desk staff was helpful. Shuttle to and from campus was convenient and well priced compared to the parking on campus for games. Shuttle pickup was very delayed; had to wait close to an hour.
Great Value for Money: Considering the comfort, convenience, and quality of service we received, we felt that this motel offered exceptional value for money. Our stay exceeded our expectations in every way, making it a worthwhile investment in our travel experience.
訪訪客The room was filthy. Blood and other stains on the bed sheets. Laminate flooring was heaved and cracked the entire length of the room. Carpet was filthy, clearly not vacuumed and caked with dirt, dust, lint and food. The mattress was stained yellow. The paint was chipped off the walls. There was brown staining on the ceiling and walls. The painting was ripped off the walls leaving a hole in the wall and dangling hardware. Drywall was ripped off the walls in many places. The ceiling light did not work and was hanging broken from the ceiling. The bathroom tub was stained black and there was soap scum residue all over the walls. There was human discharge on the wall around the toilet. There was filth smeared on the dresser. Dust bunnies were caked in the wall lamp shades. The room stunk of mold. I am quite certain that we observed a drug exchange happen out of the room next door. Do not stay here. This place is deplorable. We left immediately. No refund provided of course.
