There was one great receptionist during our stay (evening lady). However some of the others ranged from nonchalant to rude. Surprisingly hotel receptionists "dont book guest taxis", were rude to my friends at check-in and not very helpful on various other matters. The luggage room smelt.
Saturday breakfast service was lacking: cutlery, food, service. Yes we did get there 15min before end of service, as did a lot of other guests, but theyd run out of food a long time before this and werent proactive in helping all the guests get a decent breakfast during service time.
Hotel room showers didnt maintain temperature and occasionally and randonly scolded you.
We booked into the Sunday carvery and again, service was lacking. Lack of staff mostly; we had to wait over 30mins before we could get the carvery food even though we had booked, as the chef wasnt available.
Seemed guests were an inconvenience.
However, swimming pool/spa was very nixe and great showers. Carvery food was lovely once we got it. Beds were comfortable, although room would have benefitted from a fridge.
