I've stayed here before but this time it was obvious why this doesn't qualify as one of the top hotels in London. Upon check-in I was told what time breakfast is and the next morning I enjoyed a classic Nobu breakfast as well as the buffet.
Came back the next morning but this time I'm told breakfast is not included. I was sure I had booked accommodation including breakfast but mistakes have happened before so I asked if I can just have some vegetables along with my Japanese omelette which I would pay for of course. The person who seated me, with a serious look on her face tells me if I take anything from the buffet they need to charge an additional 25 GBP. I excused myself, went down to reception to explain the situation and the lady at the front desk just says breakfast is not included and couldn't explain why they didn't charge me the previous morning. When I politely questioned this, another staff member next to her starts laughing at me. The fact that she could do so just shows what standard they have at this hotel. I mean, imagine if they would have laughed at their guests at for example Rosewood, Dorchester or any other hotel of that standard. But I suppose you get what you pay for. Fortunately there are plenty other great hotels in London I can choose from next time.
