Such a disappointment. Honestly how this can call itself a 5 start establishment is a disgrace. Firstly it’s grubby, very very grubby but much worse than this, the service I was given was appalling. On booking a apartment for 3 people, very clearly 3 people, on checkin I was told that it was made up for two. I saw the room, we had a double bed and a sofa. I was then informed it would be extra (£45) for them to add a bed…and that if we just wanted bedding for the sofa. I went back downstairs, I explained it was for 3 and I’d paid for three people. The lady at the desk looked at me like I’d killed a man. She was furious, and said that most people just bring a child and then sleep on the sofa..not a second bed…that the apartment I’d booked for two, that the website must be wrong? She even pulled up the website and tried to show me…and said look, showing me two beds for much cheaper rates - it was baffling? I paid £440 for a room that was meant to sleep 3 with one double bed, it was so upsetting- she was SO incredibly rude and left me standing there like I’d done something wrong. I booked this for my pregnant sister, who’d come down from Paris - it was nothing like the images online - the rug was WET, it was disgusting in there, and to be made to feel like what I’d booked was wrong and being told on checkin I need to pay more was frankly a disgrace. The second cot bed was outside the room, so assume they knew and just try to fleece you when you arrive. I do not recommend this place to anyone and quite frankly want my money back. I’m disgusted that we had to go through that. I was told as well I had 30 minutes to decide on the other bed before the maids left, it was so unpleasant I left the encounter, and just cried. Vile. Absolutely vile. Worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel; and I travel every single week around the world for my job!!
