My wife and I stayed at the York & Albany hotel this weekend for our wedding anniversary. As ever the food and drink were delicious - especially the Crispy duck salad, Ribeye steak with next level Bonemarrow and Shallot sauce, and the sumptuous breakfast. Wine and cocktails were fab too! We stayed in Room 5 which was super comfy and styled and the bed was a particularly comfortable one !! What makes the experience really stand out here is the quality of the staff who are extremely service oriented and attentive . Nothing is too much trouble and their service is always delivered with great courtesy and a smile . I am a reasonably regular visitor to the Y&A and it’s truly a relaxing home from home with a great position by Regents Park and Camden Town. I will certainly be visiting again - the Y&A is truly a hidden gem in the Gordon Ramsay group!

We had a wonderful time here during our 4 days vacation. This is an exquisite hotel, with impeccable amenities and service. It is super professional while at the same time it feels personal and cozy. The suite was warm, and clean, and homey, with a really comfortable bed that softens your touristic impulses. It has this nice London vibe, combining english vernacular with just the right amount of modern stuff. The breakfast is delicious — especially the english breakfast and the eggs royale. The entire staff, but in particular Oana and Izabela, our hosts, contributed to making our stay memorable. They are true masterminds of hospitality. Combined with the location — close to Regents park and Primrose hill, right next to the vibrant streets of Camden — all of these aspects made our trip a wonderful experience.

Beyond terrible. Please see my photos, please refrain from booking unless you’re expecting a one star experience. We got our money back but were robbed of our time which is priceless. Gordon Ramsey, it’s a disgrace, you’re a thief. Run down, dirty, furniture missing, terrible road noise, stained, breaches of health & safety. No doubt his PR powers that be will suddenly post 5 star reviews, it’s laughable.

Spent a night here on New Years Eve. What a great choice we made. Oana was absolutely fantastic, she made our whole stay beyond perfect. Her service was so lovely, she made us feel really special. Oana is a true asset to the York. We loved the room and the decor, the breakfast was fantastic, again with very professional service. The location is also perfect as just across the road is the stunning Regents Park. I have nothing but praise for our stay here. Thank you all, especially Oana.

Impeccable great stay and service was excellent. York and Albany team are amazing. I recommend 100%!!!! I often stay and can’t recommend more for anyone wanting a comfortable, clean and excellent experience.

All the staff was wonderfully trained and polite. Very unique room that was very welcoming and comfortable. Breakfast was a great treat and would rate it with 100 stars. The cleanliness was outstanding.

If you think you’re staying at a Gordon Ramsey Hotel don’t be misled. The business is not what you see online. It’s extremely tired, flaking paintwork, large screen tv with lads watching the footy… more sport bar than gastro bar. Rooms are shabby and hygiene is very poor. It’s situated on a junction with high road house and blinds are missing pulleys, windows don’t close properly, the bathrooms smell. Without doubt the worst stay in London in 15 years. The hotel website shows a business a decade ago… it’s underinvested and on the market and grossly over priced.

Without doubt the friendliest and most helpful hotel staff that I have ever encountered. They could not have done any more to make this trip a more enjoyable experience. From Oana at reception right through to the bar and restaurant staff - not a weak link among you all. A special mention to Fedai who goes to the limit to help you out and never gives less than 110%. The rooms are bright - clean and comfortable and the restaurant serves simple yet delicious food. The bar staff are friendly and efficient and all seem to love doing what they do. Overall an experience that has to be repeated. I will be back - and soon.
