The Haymarket is an incredibly special place. I had such a wonderful time with my 6 year old daughter for one night. She asked me “why is everyone being so nice to me?” As she was treated so well. Everyone was so friendly and there were lots of nice touches e.g they left a present of the book Matilda as we told them that we were going to see the show. They were also very understanding when we had a spilt drink in the room - which was big, comfortable and spotless. The only thing that confused me was that there were no tea making facilities in the room, but of course I found out that you just call and they will bring you a complimentary one. The location is fantastic- we popped into the National Art Gallery and walked to the show. We enjoyed the pre-theatre menu which was very reasonable and had a great children’s menu. On our second day we enjoyed the immense breakfast - delicious buffet table and a la carte choices. We then made the most of the swimming pool and inflatables before walking to the London Eye. Such a fun weekend! Thank you.

Popped into the bar for a drink at 10pm. Greeted straight away and our order was taken. Lots of staff on but looked like only 1 mixologist. Waited for 20 mins for our drinks and left without drinks arriving. Told the staff we’d be writing a review…. Weren’t bothered. Won’t be back

The good: * The guest rooms and the common areas are very pretty. * The location, though a bit busy for my taste, is convenient for many major sights and theaters. * Many of the staff were kind and helpful. For example, when I asked for an iron, an attendant brought one up right away. She also set up the ironing board and even asked whether I'm right or left-handed so she could set it up in the right way. She also brought distilled water for the iron. * In-room dining is available 24 hours a day. We also appreciated that we were able to order breakfast side dishes outside regular breakfast hours. * The bed was comfortable, and the closet was big. The bad: * When we checked in, the front desk attendant asked whether my husband, who is exactly two years old than me, is my father. Even after we answered, she kept saying that it was nice that we were taking a "family vacation." ***? I would expect that outwardly speculating about your guests is on the list of things not to do when you work at a hotel. * I'd been expecting to take a lot of leisurely baths during this vacation, but it wasn't to be. That's because, although the windows in the main part of our room were soundproofed against street noise, the large window in the bathroom was not. I wouldn't have expected that to be a problem but, in the bathroom, the noise from car and foot traffic was so loud I felt like I was in Times Square whenever I took a bath. Also, the bathtub didn't have a handheld shower head. As for the walk-in shower, it was OK but small. * We had several hiccups with in-room dining. For example, late one night, we asked whether one of the teas on the menu was herbal, and we were told that it was. However, when it arrived, we saw that it was actually white tea (and therefore caffeinated); fortunately, I had only a few sips, or I would have been awake all night. Another evening, we arrived back to the hotel and walked through Brumus (the on-site restaurant) to admire the selection of cakes. The staff members there told us that they could prepare a plate for us or that we could order the cake through room service. When we tried to do the latter just a few minutes later, we were told by the room service operator that "the cakes have all been put away and it's impossible to serve them now." When I said that we had just been told the opposite by the restaurant staff, the in-room dining person said they would "try to sort it out" and hung up. About 15 minutes later, we did get the cake, but we were left feeling like we had greatly inconvenienced someone. Lastly, every time we ordered in-room dining, we specified that we were ordering for two people. However, we usually got only one place setting. As for the food quality, it was usually fine, but one morning, my breakfast plate was lukewarm and looked like it had been thrown together by a child (it was noticeable because I'd ordered the same dish two days before, and it looked a lot more appetizing then). This is the third time we have stayed at the Haymarket Hotel and it was superb the hotel decor is amazing vibrant but cozy. The staff have been expertly trained and are very friendly polite and efficient. We used the swimming pool with our granddaughter which was so much fun. If you are planning a trip to London this hotel is a must they don’t get any better.

Sadly, the owners of this hotel are dishonest and dishonorable. They do not honor prices that they agree, and make up untrue stories to justify changing them. Recommend that you go elsewhere. It's not worth being ripped off or going through this experience.

100 out of 100! The romantic Lavender suite was the perfect home for our London trip. The staff was impeccable, beautiful pool, well equipped gym, and bar area as you walk to front door. Furnishings are eclectic and location is proximate to all of the iconic sights. We walked everywhere from Big Ben to Tower of London and took the tube to WestHam match.

I can't say enough good things about the Firmdale, Haymarket Hotel. First off, the location is fantastic, 5-7 minute walks from Charing Cross, Leicester Square, Chinatown, Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden. With all the major Theaters at the doorstep. More importantly than the location is the service you will receive from everyone there. From the doormen, front desk and concierge you will be assisted by a friendly, warm, welcoming team. The rooms are spacious, clean, modern and have all the amenities you could need for your stay. Breakfast was a pleasure as were greeted every day by a wonderful hostess (Shaniha, apologies for spelling) and the wait staff, Santa, Hadrian, Asumi, Shaquan, Shiva and Mariana. Evening drinks became a fun part of our routine daily where we were indulged nightly the fun and fabulous bar staff of Naz, Marek, Victoria, Loki, Josh and Jeneba! The decor is vibrant and unique adding that boutique feel, with aa large indoor pool/party area with bar in the basement complete with spa rooms and a gym. This hotel really does have everything to make your stay in London both refreshing and fun and I honestly can say it's been such a wonderful experience I would never think about another hotel in London. I hope all the staff members we encountered are able to understand that they really made the stay for us as amazing as it was and they are all truly appreciated for it. Thank you all
