“This is not a hotel”, these are the words of the bartender who lets us in after standing in the cold for 20 minutes. She was very nice and apologetic, but has nothing to do with managing the rooms. There is no front desk or actual hotel entrance that is open. It took several phone calls for someone to answer and then eventually tell us that someone would open the doors to the pub to let us in. All we wanted to do was to store our luggage until our room was ready, but there is no open entrance if you arrive before 11.There is only a pub that opens at 11 which has very small rooms above it. We booked a king bed deluxe room, but got a queen bed standard room with a tiny bathroom with a shower that soaked the bathroom floor each time. When someone finally answered again, we were told that there are no king beds and no offer to refund us for not giving us the room that we booked. We liked Notting Hill a lot, but we will never stay at this place again. As the bartender said…this is not a hotel.
