迪特拉貝飯店(Hotel Die Traube)

Aspettare per non ricevere nulla per ore. Questo è il die traube. Quando ho fatto notare la mia disapprovazione il capo dei camerieri, un vetusto e sgradevole signore, mi ha risposto male e con razzismo per il fatto che io fossi italiano. La serata è stata un continuo imbarazzo di persone che si sedevano per poi alzarsi contrariate

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel per una notte per poi visitare la vicinissima Abbazia di Admont e la sua famosa biblioteca. Il personale è stato molto gentile e disponibile, colazione buona con preparazione di cibi caldi come uova o bacon. Il prezzo è leggermente alto ma in zona ahimè non ci sono molte alternative. Camere comunque pulite e silenziose

Nicht zu kleines, sehr sauberes Zimmer mit 2 Betten. Freundliches, sauberes Badezimmer mit moderner Duschkabine. Sehr reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet, traditionelle Speisen und Süßes im Restaurant. Wir waren zufrieden.

Hotel als Zwischenstopp gebucht. Alles sehr altbacken und renovierungsbedürftig. Sicher ist die Größe des Hauses ein Problem, aber man sollte vielleicht Etage für Etage renovieren. Frühstück war ausreichend. Es gab Wurst, Käse, Eier, süße Teilchen. Leider ohne frisches Obst/Gemüse hingestellt. Das Aufe ist mit und von daher wäre etwas frisches Grün angebracht. Abendessen war ok. Kellner sehr nett. Rezeption auch nett.

We booked to stay here, we said we were going to arrive an hour after the 8pm check and agreed to pay the extra €30 for the late check in. We traveled 45 mins off the main motorway on our journey from the red bull racing circuit back to England but we we arrived we rang the bell a man approached the door, opened the door, looked at his watch which have said bang on 9pm which was the agreed time of arrival for the extra money we paid and he bluntly with explanation closed the door in face and walked away leaving us standing there!!!!! We are all professional in our careers and looked very respectable so we could only think the reason was that two of the party were darker skinned and the hotel owner found this offensive and didn’t want people like that staying in his hotel. This left us no choice but to sleep in the our car over night, cold , uncomfortable and extremely tired the following day to cover the rest of our 800 Mile journey

So, I took a chance and booked this hotel despite the salty reviews (proximity!) and I’m so glad I did! I don’t know what happened to those reviewers but my stay has been marked with kindness and attention. Breakfast is all fresh cappuccinos and offers to make eggs, omelettes, or sausages. Any questions I’ve had about the area have been answered with attention and kindness. Every time I enter or leave there is smile ready for me. The hotel restaurant is tasty, I ate there twice and both times I was satisfied. Also, Admont is a little sleepy so don’t underestimate the fact that the hotel restaurant is almost always open for food and beer. I’ve enjoyed my stay!

I’m not one to write reviews normally, but this is a place to avoid. The service was careless and almost rude. The steak was the toughest, driest meat I’ve eaten outside of a garbage bin. It was outrageously expensive for what we got and the waiter even tipped himself saying he didn’t have any small change. Still better than living in North Korea ;)
