哥倫比那套房飯店(Columbine Inn and Suites)

Their website says check in is at 3pm but when we got there a sign on the desk said four. I said uh oh, we're early because the website says 3pm. She said we changed it and it's been that way for a year. Very condescending. Acted like she eas doing me a favor checking me in. 3 pillows for 1 queen, 2 people so we asked for another, again rudely says are there 3 in the room? We said yes, she said well, that's all they come with, the two queen rooms are the ones with 4 pillows. Umm, ok but can we have another and seemingly against her will she gave another pillow. Was going to speak to the manager at check out but couldn't find any employees. Rooms don't have coffee makers and they only have coffee during breakfast which is really odd to me. The room was clean but for the price? Not a good choice. Check out on the website doesn't match their time at the hotel either.

We were only in Leadville for one night, so I went to Trip Advisor to see what was available. This hotel was very simple but very clean. A breakfast is offered free: cereals, oatmeal, pastries, and toast. Also, for drinks: coffee, tea and milk. We would stay there again.

This is a bare bones hotel. No amenities to speak of, low end bedding, no in room additions, low end TV service. Staff was less than friendly, not speaking unless spoken to. Continental breakfast was a joke. Cold cereal, 1/2 loaf of bread, had to request that they make a new pot of coffee, and a few low end bakery products from the grocery store. Juice machine was out of order.

This is a competent, modest hotel. Clean rooms in good condition, bathroom in good condition; sink in room vs in bathroom. Attractive lobby. The one annoyance was that the soap provided--little packaged hotel soaps--are SO small and thin that they immediately break into pieces if you try to scrub soap onto your hands or a washcloth. They are like 1/8" thick. They are seriously so useless that I had to go next door to Safeway to buy real hand soap bars in order to take a decent shower. While I appreciate their effort to save money, this is too far. (We also noticed that the napkins in their breakfast area had "PF Changs" printed on them. Hmm.) The breakfast is very minimal continental--generic cereal, bread slices, and tiny muffins in packages.

We stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. The room was spotlessly clean! The beds have firm mattresses and were comfortable. Add in the beautiful views of the mountains and the fun, retro vibe (gotta love the gnomes out front!) and we were glad to be at the Columbine Inn.

I really wanted to leave a good review for Columbine Inn and Suites but reading other recent reviews, I see that my experience was par for the course. I will say that the room was clean, the view of the mountains was really great. But that's about the extent of the notable positives. We arrived too early to check in (4pm) and found the front desk staff to be really rude and dismissive of us. I get that they are likely short-staffed and busy but a bit of customer service would have helped set the tone for our experience. Eventually, we returned and checked in. The room was clean as I mentioned - but the beds were too soft and the pillows seemed old and too squishy. Overall, the sleep quality wasn't great The breakfast, which starts at 6:30 - which is kind of late considering the fact that so many of the guests are there to start early climbs. We were waiting with a number of other guests for the breakfast to open. When it did, it was a major disappointment. It was just cold cereal and milk, instant oatmeal packets, and packaged pastries. No fruit, no juice, no real protein other than milk. That was it. Overall, it wouldn't have taken much of an effort to create a far better guest experience...

Stayed here for 1 night as a stopover in a tour. Room was large and had a view of the mountains. Bed comfortable and bathroom well equipped. Breakfast was included there was toast but no other cooked items. We didn’t explore Leadville as needed to get on the road.

Columbine Inn & Suites is a very middle of the pack facility. There's nothing special here to make it stand out or recommend it to others. The beds aren't great and the continental breakfast is marginal. Just cereal and pastry. The telephone didn't work. It was reasonably clean.

This place is a dump, but all Leadville hotels are dumps, so this is a marginally nicer dump than the others. The breakfast consisted of some cereal, bread, or a packaged muffin/danish. Juice machine was out of order. Stained carpets, a mattress in dire need of replacement, and a heater/air conditioner unit that made such strange noises, we had to turn it off to keep from being awake all night. Avoid if possible and stay at Copper Mountain or go further to Mount Princeton or Salida.
