常春藤小屋(Ivy Cottage)

Fantastic - just wonderful. I travel a lot and stay at hotels, B & B's etc. A LOT all over the UK. This was the most relaxing 2 night stay I've had whilst on business - full stop. Samantha is amazing, accommodated my request to check in a bit late, made sure I knew exactly where to go and where to park. She couldn't do enough to make my stay the best - brought breakfast to my door early each morning, checked in with me by text to see if I needed anything - amazing. As for the accommodation - wow ! Lovely little cottage, comfy, cosy, quiet, great TV and channel selection. I'm heading back again soon on another business trip and even though the Goat House is further away from my work venue than other places, I'm staying there again. Can't fault this place.

Samantha is a fabulous host. Ivy Cottage is so lovely and comfortable. Great nights sleep. Absolutely spotless. Total relaxation wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended and would stay again. Great restaurant across the road.

We stayed at The Goat House on our way back from the Latitude Festival in Southwold, so we arrived slightly grubby and in need of a good night's sleep. Samantha was so welcoming, and friendly, and everything about The Goat House was absolutely perfect. The cottage consists of a bedroom, sitting room and bathroom. They are all spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated. The bathroom has huge bath with luxurious toiletries. There's a table and chairs (as well as a huge sofa) in the sitting room - Samantha brings breakfast over to you, but we also brought in cold food for the evening and this didn't cause any problems. (NB the pub opposite is closed on Mondays, otherwise we'd have gone there for dinner.) The breakfast itself was delicious. Laxton is a pretty farming village, very quiet and peaceful. I'd recommend The Goat House wholeheartedly; we're already thinking about booking for longer next year.

The goat house is beautiful and was very comfortable and extremely clean - there were luxury toiletries, lots of fresh towels, bathrobes, comfy bed and sofa, great shower. It has everything you need and was just perfect for our stay - would highly recommend and we will definitely stay again if we're going back to the area. The hosts were lovely and very welcoming, and the home cooked breakfast was outstanding.
