Very clean hotel with great facilities. The hotel restaurant was excellent. The staff were all very friendly too.

Outdated and despite the listing as a superior room, there was nothing superior about it. Staff were very friendly and pleasant throughout except reception which were cold, best part was the breakfast which was outstanding.

Very dated hotel that at best is average. I worked here 30 years ago and it’s barely changed since then. Definitely expect more these days, even simple things like sockets next to the bed and a fan in the bathroom!

Friend staff. Clean hotel amd comfortable hotel.
Not a issue but bedroom could do with being updated.
Bed is 2 pushed together and can fell the gap.

took it for a few hours sleep pre flight , decent hotel for a few hours wouldnt recommend whole time , its advertised near the airport , but only way to get to airport is a 30 pounds taxi

We use The Gibside every time we come up to the North East. It’s close by where we meet friends for food and drink. The price we pay is always competitive. The staff are always friendly. Bar food and breakfast always spot on.

It’s my go to hotel when we are in the Newcastle area lots of food options in Whickham
The hotel has its own bar with food which is good
