Comfortable stay, convenient location. Would recommend.

I have stayed at the Station Hotel before as it is close to family and I've had reasonable experiences , especially in the restaurant. Sadly on this occasion, several things went wrong. The rooms are above a busy pub and closing time can be noisy and it was on 5th January, my room was chilly and the radiator made those annoying cracking noises all night. The next evening I noticed a tap in the bathroom was loose and even worse the bathroom door handle was also dodgy. The following morning I went to have a shower, shut the door and then found myself unable to get out. Ten minutes of screaming for help and kicking the door eventually brought a member of staff who was thankfully able to let me out. I was moved to another larger room for my final evening, refunded some money and offered a free breakfast. This was gratifying but I have to admit being locked in the bathroom was a traumatic experience I would hate to repeat! Maintenance should be a priority for hotels to ensure safety of their guests

Fifth stay at The Station Hotel, over the course of 5 years. There has been a steady decline over time, to the point we will be staying elsewhere. Damp throughout building, causing basic smell that none of the local’s seem to notice! So called hot water was luke warm at best and therefore no shower for our whole length of stay, not ideal. This issue was reported on more than one occasion before we had any response. Table Booked weeks in advance for New Years Day, half the menu items were not available . Therefore we walked across the road to the corner Italian (highly recommended). We booked a relaxing break and found that this has become more a creche than a good place to stay. Lost its atmosphere !!!

Dropped into the pub whilst touring the area, and was sooooooo glad that I did! Started with a drink at the bar, not sure if we wanted to eat there yet, but phoenix was sooooo welcoming and talked us into staying for a roast. I’m someone who loves a roast and also work in the trade, and holds a Sunday as being the being the most important in the trade, and I con honestly say, poppy and phoenix made the experience so amazing. I want to single out poppy…she is SUCH an asset to the venue and I can honestly say, she’d make anyone feel welcome and comfortable in any venue…well done Youngs for employing such an asset to your team!

Very comfortable bed. The room was clean. Lovely touch with the hospitality tray and honesty choices. The bathroom was new with white fluffy towels and a super drench shower. Breakfast was excellent and freshly prepared. Would stay there again should the need arise. Recommended . Weekend parking free.

I’ve stayed in pub hotels before, unfortunately on band night too. I had low expectations but the station hotel was superb. The pub was packed but up in my room I didn’t hear anything - there isn’t a lift and a few stairs to climb but that was fine for me, I felt a little sorry for my room service. The area is brilliant, a small village feel with great shops and quaint Restaurant’s nearby. I’ll be definitely going back to stay.

Loved this place. Great building with those big Edwardian ceilings and open spaces. Lovely room in a leafy area. Breakfast was good nice staff. Will book this again and again 😃

It’s a very cozy hotel, the atmosphere are very lovely and the staff are awesome.. Very Nice vacation

We stayed overnight here for an event in the area. The room was very nice and well equipped with a lovely bathroom (jungle shower) and quality toiletries. Lots of choice of coffee and tea too. The bed was supremely comfortable and the inclusive breakfast was delicious, with very good coffee, cereals, juice, and a cooked breakfast too. I'd consider coming back here for future London stays -- it's right next to the station and only 20 mins from central London.
