Pathetic, callous!This was a trap by Ajeesh of Shruthi houseboat. We were shown good house boat ride and comfort. And informed, they can club resort stay but the payment has to be done upfront. When we reached the resort, shocks keep descending on us one after the other. I just read reviews from 2019 and I have same complaints of poor infrastructure, no hot water, slimy pool, broken tiles and feel unsafe. Over priced and Pathetic attitude of the reception. No intercom, as that's meant for a mgmt that's concerned about their visitors safety or service. Well in this case none mattered. Breakfast is not available until 9:30am. Gosh wanna ruin your holiday, this place will not let you down. We were the only guests in the entire resort. I guess that says it all.

The ac was not working at all. The room and other facilities were good. Tv was not working.

We stayed between 22nd Sept and 24th Sept at this property. It was a very serene experience amidst the nature with adjoining bird sanctuary. The resort has a history and is quite a wonderful heritage property. It was a nice comfortable stay. We did kayaking and my daughter enjoyed it a lot. Same goes with other activities around. Staff was courteous and very helpful. The breakfast spread was good and the dinner was awesome. Amal and Tejah served us with warmth and smile. Priya was helpful throughout. Overall it was wonderful and a memorable experience.

nice place for a quiet stay by the banks of kumarakom backwaters.it would be nice if you could go with family as there are only four rooms and it could be occupied by the same group of people. rooms are spacious with a good clean toilet. food is also good with inhouse kitchen and a nice cook. as its literally on the banks you could enjoy the backwaters. no pool, but if you know swimming can explore the backwaters itself as the water height is about 5 ft for about 5mtrs near the banks. in house activities could have been better as its a small property with limited space for any exploration. its also very near to house boat jetty, bird sanctuary and main roads.

Best place in Kumarakom to stay in, had a great experience and we really felt happy with the service provided. Rooms were ultra clean and comfortable The staff were amazing and treat you like family, especially impressive service from Unni Kuttan. Truly Awesome and great experience. Highly recommend this place. Looking forward to stay here again :-) Special Thanks to the Property Manager and Front Desk staffs for being extremely professional and yet provided a homely service. Great stay at the resort, service was exceptional. Upon our arrival, Aneesh drove us to the resort from the airport, which is two hours away. Mahesh took us everywhere we wanted to go in the area. Kavi was so so hospitable as the activity coordinator and set up all of our excursions. We didn’t worry a single bit about staying busy as he had everything coordinated. At the mutlicuisine restaurant, we had an amazing experience for all of our meals over a 6 day period. They did a great job including different dishes throughout the week. Johney the manager is very experienced and really makes you feel at home. All of the chefs are accommodating and make any dish you request if possible. Arathi, Adith, Tom, Nandhana, Jobika and all of the wait staff were great. They remembered dishes and drinks we liked and had them ready upon request, and sometimes even without request. Prasad was very nice and took care of any baggage issues we had. Overall great experience, rooms were decent, resort was well kept, Ayurmana was a great first time aryuvedic spa experience. Great place to get one with nature, relax, and dissociate without stress.

Getting There - 2hrs drive from Kochi airport. The hotel arranged for a transfer taxi. 5,000/- one way. Arrival- Welcomed with chandan tika, welcome drink, cold towel and a big smile by the staff. Room- Got it early then the checkin time. Rooms are big, well lit with good views. But they need a lot of maintenance and refurbishment. Hotel- Green, peaceful, clean. Food & Restaurants - Only 1 restaurant with limited menu. But everything we ordered was delicious and good in portion size.
