My visit was average. Front desk person (AA male evening shift) was very pleasant. My room was okay however my sister's room was unpleasantly odorous with an unexpected portable humidifier in the room. We enjoyed our breakfast in the hotel restaurant and the waitress was very nice. The wedding food was just okay. The hotel needs to definitely upgrade overall.

When you throw the word "resort" on a property it comes with certain expectations. This location is severely lacking. We had to bag up dirty towels and wash cloths and take them to the front desk to exchange for fresh towels, etc..No cleaning service during our stay. No room service of any sort. ONE ice machine for the entire "resort" located well away from the ocean front "premium" rooms and suites. Bed linens and pillows, while adequate, were just standard MOTEL fare. Overall Bang for the Buck is not there.

The bed may as well have been made of straw. The pillows were little square clumps of crap. After finally falling asleep in the awful bed my husband woke up to being stung/bit by some sort of bug. His head swelled rapidly where he was bit. We left at 1130 at night and headed to the ER. After being treated for a severe reaction to an unknown critter bite, we ended up booking a room at holiday inn and sleeping there. Dont go to the sea ranch resort.

We pre-booked and paid in advance. The desk clerk was almost rude. The room was nice, oceanfront! The bed was hard for us. The room was very clean and roomy. Everything worked with a great heat system. I was at OBX for a surgical procedure so wanted a room with room service for breakfast before our trip home. No room service, short staffed. We went to the Bistro, and it was great. We had a very nice and friendly waitress and great food.

I stay at this hotel when I Birdwatch in the winter in the Outer Banks. When I book with *******, I get a $20 coupon that I use for their excellent breakfast. Their Wi-Fi is very fast. They have Turner classic movies. The place is always clean and the staff is very accommodating and kind.

Pool was warm, but pool room was freezing & no hot-tub, so did not use the pool. Hideabed couch was uncomfortable for sitting, cushions worn out, needed extra pillows to sit comfortably. Other chair was not the greatest either. Bed sheets were the roughest linen I have experienced in many years of travel. View was awesome, but we would not recommend this hotel...

Our room wasn’t clean. There was a beer can near the large sliding glass door to the balcony and the cover of the pull out couch had sand and other debris on it.
